Years had passed since Tanjiro had rescued Y/n, and she had become an integral part of the Kamado family. As her body gradually healed from the ordeal, she immersed herself in the daily activities of the household.

Cooking alongside Kie and playing with the younger siblings filled her days with warmth and purpose. Despite Nezuko's protests that such tasks were beneath her, Y/n often joined her on herb-collecting expeditions in the mountains.

Tanjiro, however, cherished their moments alone and frequently invited Y/n to accompany him on trips to the nearby village. These outings provided opportunities for them to converse and for Tanjiro to showcase his skills, subtly trying to impress her.

Amidst the tranquil rhythm of their lives, Y/n felt a sense of belonging she had long yearned for. But the tranquility was fleeting, as change loomed on the horizon.

One day, Y/n pleaded with Tanjiro to allow her to join him and the other siblings on their trip to the village. Tanjiro hesitated, caught off guard by her request. He struggled to find a way to decline without causing distress, knowing he couldn't reveal the true reason—his need to attend to other matters.

Just as he was about to offer a vague excuse, Tanjiro's mother intervened, saving him from the awkward predicament.

"The road to the village is covered with snow, and if you get tired, Tanjiro can't carry all of you," Tanjiro a smiled, grateful for his mother's timely intervention.

The children's faces fell into pouts and groans as they reluctantly bid Tanjiro farewell.

"Be careful, okay?" Y/n said, embracing the blushing boy. "A-alright, see you later," he stuttered as he slowly walked away.

Feeling a tug on her kimono, y/n turned around to face a smiling Hanako.

"Y/n-nee, let's go and play!"

"Okay!," the female said excitedly.

They played games, their laughter echoing like music in the crisp winter air, their smiles as bright as the sun itself.

Y/n cherished the warmth of their company, basking in the joy of the moment, her heart light with the simple happiness they shared.

Little did she know, the shadows of fate lurked just beyond the horizon, waiting to cast their dark veil over her colorful world.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting its final golden rays across the land, the veil of night descended, bringing with it a sense of unease and foreboding. For it was during this nocturnal hour that the demons prowled, their hunger driving them to seek out prey to devour, their sinister presence looming over the world.

Within the walls of the Kamado household, all was quiet, the inhabitants lost in the embrace of slumber, unaware of the lurking danger that threatened to breach their sanctuary.

Y/n tossed and turned restlessly, her attempts to find solace in sleep thwarted by the relentless grip of insomnia. Frustration gnawed at her as she abandoned her pursuit of rest and sought refuge in a simple glass of water, hoping to ease her troubled mind.

Stepping into the silent kitchen, she reached for the cool relief of the water, its refreshing touch a balm to her restless soul. But as she raised the glass to her lips, a sense of unease prickled at the edges of her consciousness.

Glancing out the window, her gaze was drawn to the serene night sky, illuminated by the gentle glow of the moon and stars. Yet, amidst the tranquil beauty, a shadowy figure caught her eye, lurking in the darkness beyond.

Her heart quickened as she watched the figure, uncertain if it was merely a trick of the light or something more sinister. The figure seemed to shift, drawing nearer with each passing moment until it was revealed in the moon's soft light.

Y/n's breath caught in her throat as she beheld the stranger before her, his striking appearance captivating her with its otherworldly allure. His ebony hair, lustrous and dark as midnight, framed features so exquisitely beautiful they seemed almost otherworldly. His eyes, a deep crimson hue, bore into her with an intensity that sent shivers down her spine, while his alabaster skin seemed to glow in the moonlight.

He was a vision of perfection, and yet, there was something unsettling about him, a sense of danger that lingered in the air.

As he approached, y/n found herself retreating, her back pressed against the cold surface of the wall as she sought to put distance between them. But there was no escape, no reprieve from the magnetic pull of his gaze, as he drew closer, ensnaring her in his grasp.

Trapped between him and the unyielding barrier of the wall, y/n could do nothing but await his next move, her heart pounding in her chest as she braced herself for what was to come.

"Hmm, you would make a perfect demon" His voice, a mere whisper, carried an undeniable weight, its timbre deep and rough, sending a shiver down y/n's spine.

" What...?"

Before y/n could even process his words, a swift blow knocked her unconscious. The raven-haired man swiftly caught her before she hit the floor, cradling her delicate form in his arms. As she lay there, unconscious, he gazed at her serene face with a mixture of awe and fascination, his fingertips lightly tracing the contours of her cheeks.

The demon king found himself inexplicably drawn to this human, a feeling he never thought possible. Was it her captivating beauty or the allure of her scent that ensnared him? Whatever the reason, he felt a profound connection to her, one that stirred something deep within him.

Determined to make her his own, he vowed to protect her at all costs. Anyone who dared to threaten her would face his wrath, for she had unwittingly captured his heart, and he would stop at nothing to claim her as his own.

"I'll come back for you, my treasure," he whispered softly, his words barely audible in the stillness of the room. With a swift motion, he teleported her back to her chamber, gently placing her on the soft futon.

As he lingered for a moment, his gaze lingered on her sleeping form, a mixture of longing and determination flickering in his eyes. With a final, lingering look, he turned away, knowing that he had unfinished business to attend to. But deep down, he promised himself that he would return to her side, no matter the obstacles that stood in his way.
