"Good Morning Princess, sasabay ka ba today?" dad greeted me as soon as he saw me walk down the stairs. He is eating breakfast with my mom.
"Can i? nakakatamad magdrive eh" sagot ko sabay beso sakanilang dalawa bago umupo. The table is filled with our talks and laughter. What a perfect way to start your day right? Wait till we get to school.
My father is the college dean at our university. But don't get me wrong, I earn my grades through hard work though that issue is circulating around the school. I don't care tho. As long as I know what's the truth, nothing else matters.
After 15 minutes' drive, dumating na kami. We decided to part ways at the school's parking space kasi may dadaanan daw si dad. I didn't bother to ask him at pumasok na.
I was greeted by some senior high students. Hindi naman sa pagmamayabang pero I was the consistent SSG vice president since high school days. Kung iniisip niyo na naman sa through my father's power, no. I can get anything I can if magbubutihan ko. Hardwork pays off ika nga nila.
"Good Morning Ms. Everestine!" I greeted my adviser nang makasalubong ko ito sa hallway.
"Good Morning George." She greeted back. Sabay kaming naglakad sa hallway while chitchatting.
"So how are your preparations for the exam?"
"3 months pa naman pa naman yun ninang. Parang mas excited ka ata sa akin eh." She laughed at what I have said. Minsan naiisip ko if ganto talaga siya eh. Natatawa kahit walang nakakatawa dun.
We continued talking about more things na dapat isagawa sa school na to since its my 5th year here. Gagraduate na din kami finally and I think this should be the time where dapat bongga ang kung ano mang gagawin naming.
"Ninang, I'll see you in class nalang ha? May idadrop ako sa office of the councils eh." She nodded and we bid our partial goodbyes, lol.
We are pretty early actually kasi wala pang tao mashado. I made my way to the councils na wala ka man lang marinig na ingay. Some students are even scared to go to this part of the school kasi creepy daw. I mean, creepy is fun, right?
Pumasok na ako sa office sabay pailaw dito. Some of our paper works still lying on the conference table. I decided to stack them kasi mashadong makalat tingnan. I began to arrange some of the papers when I noticed something.
"I didn't sign these..." I muttered to myself.
As far as I know, I am the standing president since I was a freshman kasi the president na nanalo surprisingly ay hindi mahagilap. I don't know how he always win when his presence was not even here in the last 4 years. I heard he was in abroad so he studies online but he never contacted me. Ako nga sumasalo sa mga paperwork niya kaya nakakapagtaka na na approve to when it needs my signature and clearly that is not my signature.
I brushed off the thoughts na minumulto ako. I shouldn't have listened to my dad's stories about this room. Mananagot talaga sa akin kung sino man nagsign neto.
My heart almost dropped when the door opened. Iniluwa nito si Olivienne. Our secretary.
"Good Morning pres-"
"Sino nagsign nito?"
She looked at me, her smile began to turn into a confused one.
"Hindi niyo po alam?" ang alin?
"Mr. President was here po yesterday. He called an emergency meeting and diba may sakit ka? So we didn't inform you." I blinked 3 times. Or maybe a few more times.
"Kelan pa siya bumalik?" I asked myself. Whispering. I was reminded of a few things that made my spine shiver.
"Pressy!" I was caught off guard.
"Ano?" agaran siyang lumapit sa akin with a huge grin on her face.
"Bat hindi mo sinabi sa amin na gwapo pala si Mr. president?!" humagikgik pa ito. I only looked at her with no expression in my face. As if alam ko diba? Eh hindi ko rin siya nakita.
"Ang gwapo ng boyfriend mo! Huhu" napaupo dahil dun. That's right. Pero its not what you think. I made everyone believe that he is my boyfriend because they kept asking for his presence! I didn't mean to lie, pero it's the only way that I can save him and his position. Sinabi kong girlfriend niya ako para maisip nila na we have a connection kaya hindi ko siya kayang palitan in his position.
"Grabe miss. Kung alam mo lang. Girls were drooling over him pero sinaway naming kasi nga kayo pa diba?" well, I assume he knows about it na? I only lied about it sa council, the students does not know about it...
"yeah...we are kinda in a complicated zone ngayon so I think magbibreak nga kami...I don't think he likes me anymore." I lied. Siguro I'll just explain everything to him? Tas palabasin nalang naming na nagbreak kami diba? Tama!
"ay talaga? Hindi halata ah. He even signed those paper works for you para daw di ka pumasok ng maaga ngayon." I just sigh as a response since ayoko na dagdagan ang kasinungalingan ko. Hopefully we'll meet para naman makilala ko siya tas ma-explain ko sakanya kung bakit ko pinagkalat na boyfriend ko siya. Patay talaga ako kay papa when this gets to him. Number 1 rule naming ang no secrets tas ganto. Kainis!
Nagpatuloy kami sa pagliligpit when Olivienne told me na she'll get us some coffee since medyo malamig din ang klima ngayon. After finishing organizing some posters, umupo na ako saka nagcheck ng messages, mails and my classes.
I turned to the AC when I heard a rustling sound. Before I knew it, bumagsak ito sa akin which hurt my head, making me feel super dizzy and everything went black.
The next thing I knew is waking up in the infirmary. With a slightly blurred vision, I saw nurse Christine talking to a tall guy wearing a black blazer. Bumangon ako to have a good look.
"Are you feeling better?" nurse Christine approached me. My eyes were still adjusting so I can't see clearly.
"Yung panlalabo ng mata mo is only temporary. Don't worry."
"I think need na palitan yung AC sa council." I heard Rey say. He is our SSG auditor, so his voice is familiar to me.
"Okay ka lang George?" I just nodded while caressing my head. Magkakabukol ata ako eh. Good thing it's not on my face or else mom will freak out. Marahan akong nakapikit since I can't see clearly. I heard my father's voice as the SSG councils greeted him.
"Is my princess okay?" I felt him kiss my forehead.
"I'm fine dad. The class is going on. You didn't have to come here."
"Its fine. Palakas ka or else pupunta daw dito ang mommy mo." I opened my eyes and gave my father a slight glare.
"Joke lang. Anyway, I'll go ahead na anak." He patted my head as he looked at something behind me.
"Zavier? When did you come back?" I felt cold air brush against my skin as my father shake hands with him. Oh no...
"Just yesterday sir." Just hearing his voice makes my heart pound. Real hard.
"Why are you here at the clinic? Hindi ba may mga pasok kayo?" he glance at the whole council. May AC dito pero para akong pinagpapawisan.
"Yes po sir. We'll leave po in a while," Rey replied as some began to pack their things.
"What about you zav?"
"I plan to stay a little bit longer, sir."
"Oh, I didn't know na close pala kayo nitong anak ko. Wow. You guys are really concerned..." I was silently praying that they don't mention about the gf and bf thing na clearly, pinamukha ni papa na hindi niya alam.
"Ay hindi niyo pa alam sir?" I heard Olivienne speak. I glared at her but she didn't even look at me!
"ang alin?" my father asked olive but before she can reply, I felt his hands on my shoulders.
"Your daughter is my girlfriend sir." I looked at my father's confused face.
I'm doomed.
