Lost: Chapter two

"What happened to them?" Athena asked.

"Them? Just like you they we're saved by our unit. But the difference is that I am alone when I saved both of you." He replied.

"She mean to ask that why do they keep on raging? Looks like they are all crazy? What happened to them?" I interrupted.

"Neither would I know about their history. Our troops found some of them roaming in the wilderness. No man would like to see them suffering there so we decided to take them here." Tyler replied.

"Then, what if they are one of them?" I asked.

"What do you mean ' one of them?' " He response.

"Those freaking creatures. They disguise theirselves as humans at first. Didn't you know that already?" I asked cautiously.

"Yeah I knew that. You don't have to worry. If they indeed are one of them then maybe we are already dead at this moment." He then replied.

I am thinking deeper and deeper.

"Maybe you're right." I response.

Tyler is holding a walkie-talkie radio when we heard this,

"Alpha three alpha three. You have to proceed to the laboratory. We found something here."

"Bravo seven. Copy. Over." Tyler responded.

"So you're the leader here?" I asked.

"Nah. They gave me the right because they knew I had the experienced of being a commanding officer when I was in the military. Besides I also worked with your dad before. It means, I also has the capabilities in investigating things like what is happening around us" He replied.

"Yeah, I remembered that. You should go now." I replied.

"Yeah. You see that tent?" He pointed the tent at the corner.

"Both of you should go there. There is enough supply and if you're hungry, you may take some there." Tyler said.

"Oh yeah. Thanks." I response

He then left.

"Are you hungry?" I asked Athena.

"Sort of" She replied then smiled.

We've been on the tent for half an hour talking about anything we could talk with.

"Can you still remember your age?" I asked.

"Yeah. I can still remember my age. I may have forgotten what happened to me before I came here but I'm not old enough to forget about my age like duh. Well, I'm nineteen years old." She replied.

We laughed. Her smile made me forgot what happened recently.

"Hahaha. So you can still remember things about yourself don't you?" I asked.

"Didn't you hear what I just said? Huh?!" She exclaimed.

Both of us laughed hard.

"So what about you. How old are you?" She asked.

"Me? Uh-eh. Uhm." I can hardly speak.

"Now what?" She asked.

"Ehh. Haha well I'm younger than you. You're already an old woman. Hahaha" I replied.

"Stop laughing I'm serious!" She shouted.

"Oh you are?" I response.

"Just answer my question don't be such a crazy one!" She exclaimed.

It looks like she is telling the truth that she's serious.

"Uhm I'm one year younger than you. I am eighteen years old." I replied.

"Oh you're a kid?" She said as if she is trying to piss me.

"What did you just said!?"' I response.

"Haha. Don't cry kid!" She shouted a bit.

Things are getting better now. I can feel how comfortable I am to be with her. Everytime she laugh or smile, It makes me feel relieved. It's like seeing the beautiful thing in the world.

I'm not into falling in love

I should not be.

This isn't a time for some stuff like this.

Yea right.

Maybe I am just coping myself with this weird environment since Athena was the first woman I've met in this crazy place.

We talked a lot. I can also feel how comfortable she is in being with me.

Then the sun had set.

Darkness covered the building where we are gathering. People started going inside their respective tents. Few patrols are present roaming around the area.

Athena was sitting on the bed. I know she's tired.

" Hey kiddo."

Tyler came with his two colleagues.

"Matt this is Leo a biologist. He is still working how this so called creatures existed."

"Good to see you Matt" The man response

"And here's Zack, A biologist too. Somehow they have concluded that these creatures aren't only just a creature that entered our planet. He made hypothesis about this." Tyler insisted.

"Great to see you Matt. You look just like your father" He said.

"You know my father?" I asked.

"Yes. We worked together before for some experiments." He replied.

"Matt. We have to talk Tomorrow with them for some information to be collected. For now. Just take a rest with your new friend. Ok?" Tyler interrupted.

"Understood." I replied.

"Well then we got to leave now." Tyler responded

All of them left. Now it's just me and Athena.

Oh.

She's already sleeping when I looked back for her.

Suddenly I realized how beautiful she is. With her eyes closed, I was just looking at here when I noticed something at the back of her neck.

Something was written in there.

A sequence of number maybe. I am not sure.

I could hardly see because it is so dark.

I was to about to go nearer beside her just to see what is it when all of a sudden she woke up.

"Hey." She whispered in calm.

"Uh-hey. You're sleepy? You already fell asleep. Did I woke you up?" I asked.

"Yeah. Too sleepy. How 'bout you? Aren't you going to have some rest for tomorrow?" She asked.

"Uh. Yeah. Right. I am about to sleep already" I replied.

"Uhm. Okay then. Goodnight Matt." She said.

"Okay. Goodnight too." I replied.

Slowly, she closed her eyes.

I also started to feel a bit sleepy realizing I am also tired.

I went to the bed in the other side of the tent opposing Athena's bed.

In front of me is a girl I've met in this unexplainable world.

A was just looking at her when few moment passed as it getting longer, I am also starting to lose consciousness.

Things started to get blurry.

It's becoming dark.

I fell asleep.
