The sun rises like nobody's business.

I look at the clock.

A few more hours to Halloween.

" I am sure you are ready." Father said. He stepped forward and embraced me for the first time since my arrival.

"I sure am, father. " I pulled away from his hug and look for Dan.

" Dan?" I stepped into a darkly lit room. I read the slanted script on the door, making sure it is Dan's room.

" Saphyre. What do you need?"

" Oh. Just wanting to bid a temporary farewell to you." I smiled.

Dan pulled me into a hug. "Bye Dan. See you soon." I whispered into his ear.

He broke the hug and ran to his bedside table.

"Here. Wear this." He handed me a black robe with hood.

" This is simply elegant. But why?"

" Well, back in the living, the sun is stronger, you will not strive there, even if you are strong."

I touched the robe. It felt like silk but different. I looked at him and back at the robe.

" Witch shadows. Its made out of the greatest witches' shadows."

I nodded. " Give me a moment."

I ran to my bedroom and grabbed the mirror.

" This. Take it. "

" The mirror of truth. "

"I'm sure it'll do some help."

I bid farewell once again and ran to the court yard.

I hugged my father for the last time. In a flash, about 3/4 of the month is gone. I looked around for the last time. I wore my charm bracelet, which is magical ( it contains all my necessities)  and also my robe. I took a deep breath and then stepped into the portal...

Hopefully I will reach safety.
