Confession, Saving the Princess, then Stranded

“Anything?” Shiro asks desperately.

“There’s just no way in! They’ll have us tracked from every direction.” Lance informs Shiro. He sighs as he slowly wanders off.

“There’s gotta be something, keep looking.” Shiro says. Lance looks over to me, I look back with a strict look on my face.

“Lo siento, hermana.” Lance shouts. I turn around to see what Coran’s doing. (I'm sorry, sis.)

“Te perdono, pero no me vuelvas a decir cosas así, ¿entendido?” I shoot back. (I forgive you, but don't ever say stuff like that to me again, understood?)

“¡Sí, señora!” Lance shouts happily. (Yes ma’am!) Shiro calls us over to a hologram projection of Zarkons ship to explain what he and Coran had been discussing while Lance and I spoke.

“Everyone, eye’s front.” Shiro says making sure we’re all paying attention, “We’ve got a plan to get Allura. We’re going to jump to the heart of the enemy, unseen and undetected.” Shiro explains.

“I thought we needed Allura to open up a wormhole.” Pidge inquires.

“It’s true that Allura powers the castle’s ability to travel through wormholes. However, I think we have enough of her residual essence stored in the system to make one jump.” Coran states. “We’ll hide the castle here,” Coran points to a place on the hologram, “inside one of these giant gas planets in Zarkon’s command system. The gas is so dense, we’ll be hidden.” Coran concludes.

“From there, we’ll use the castle to scan for Allura on Zarkon’s ship and attack before Zarkon knows what hit him.“ Shiro says powerfully.

“There’s only one hiccup.” Coran adds, “We have enough energy to wormhole in, but, without Allura, we won’t have enough energy to wormhole out.” Coran explains the bad news of this plan.

“It doesn’t matter.” Shiro says strongly, “We’re not leaving without her.” He says in an authoritative tone.

“Will I be able to actually help this time or am I still benched?” I asked, wanting nothing more than to be of service to them.

“You might just get the chance you’ve been hoping for.” Shiro informs me, I feel the excitement overwhelm me but I stay composed because this is not an appropriate time to jump around happily.

“We’re here.” Shiro says over the intercoms.

“I’m detecting Allura’s energy signature. From this distance, the signal’s pretty weak, but she’s somewhere in Zarkon’s main ship.” Coran tells the others.

“Gives us a starting point.” Keith mentions.

“Once we get closer, we’ll be able to narrow down the location where the princess is being held.” Coran adds to what he said before.

“Okay guys, this is it.” Shiro starts, “Voltron is going to come in fast and without warning.” He states. “We’ll smash our way into Zarkon’s ship and grab the princess. Before they know what hit them, we’ll have the princess and be on our way.” Shiro tells us, all of our hopes and nerves are high about this mission.

“What is that?” Hunk shouts.

“I don’t know, but I hope once we get the princess, we can find a way out of here.” Pidge says worriedly. “They’re going to fire!” Pidge screams.

“Form sword.” Shiro commands.

“More trouble, straight ahead!” Lance screams frightened. Coran and I hear the battle occur, worried for the paladins.
