Friday at 7 pm, Y/N and his co-workers are closing the café for the day. They all are saying bye and to spend a good weekend. Y/N follows Oscar to his car to go to his place. Oscar is not living far from the café but enough to take his car. He has a little flat close to the university. Y/N wondered if he will go to university after college, he hasn't a clue about what he wanted to do.

While Oscar was driving, Y/N was on his phone texting Tom

"Hey, I'm spending the night at a friend's house, I won't be calling tonight. Love you xx"

He switches his phone off and looks at the streets, laying his head on the window. He's so tired, his mind is always thinking about how he deals with all this situation. It's been difficult to find sleep lately, he would rather be with Tom more than anything but he also has responsibilities. He sigh

"Hey Y/N." Oscar said focusing his attention on the road.

"Yeah?"

"We're almost there and don't fall asleep on the window, I don't want to carry you"

Y/N giggled. "Don't worry, I'm still awake"

 Oscar parked in the parking lot and he and Y/N are going to his flat. When they arrived Oscar started to cook dinner while Y/N was resting on the couch, Oscar made sure that Y/N would do anything to rest.

At a moment Oscar joins Y/N on the couch. "I'm just waiting for the rice to cook, so what's up?"

"Tired but it's cool here, I love the decoration."

"Thanks! So what's going on?"

Y/N sighed "It's just complicated..."

There's a long silence after that.

"If it can help let me tell you a story." Oscar takes a deep breath. "One time I was dating someone, just like you, it was a long-distance relationship, Switzerland, so it was far." Oscar giggled. "Everything was going well we kept up like this for a good year but as time was going we ended up breaking up for our own good. We were both suffering from the distance and though it was the best, I would lie if I told you that I don't regret this decision since then."

"But... we've had a relationship before it was distant, it's like we never saw each other, in October I was down there but since then everything becomes complicated, I started working because my Mother lost her job and it was difficult to live and pay rent because of other problems... And I just can't do this anymore, I don't feel I can have a life outside of College or working and this is really getting me."

Oscar puts a hand on his shoulder "You're at a point where you have to find the balance between your working life and your social and this is going to be hard, it will take time but one day you will come there"

"I wish I could find it now to be better"

Oscar gets up "Well to be able to find it you'll have to rest first and with a good meal everything will get better!" Oscar is going into the kitchen to finish everything

Y/N looks at his phone and sees a message from Tom

"Ok have fun, I'll see you tomorrow, I love you <3"

Y/N sighed and switch off his phone. Oscar comes back and gives a plate to Y/N. They eat dinner in front of the TV. For once in a while, Y/N's mind is light and does not think of his trouble. It's around 9 pm that Oscar leaves Y/N to sleep noticing that he's already half-asleep.

 At around 3 am Y/N wakes up but this time he was thinking about the earlier conversation with Oscar. He puts his hand on his face and sighs.

He picked up his phone and decided to send a message to Ranboo.

"Hey, you're up?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Can I call you?"

"Sure ^^"

 Y/N calls Ranboo

"Hey" Y/N whispered

"Oh is this ASMR time." Ranboo said giggling

I can't help but laugh "You wish. Anyway, have you seen Tom lately?"

"Yeah, why?"

"How was he?"

"What do you mean?"

"How was he?"

"Mmm, it could be better why?"

"Can I share my thoughts with you, because I know you will have a perspective view"

"Ok go on"

"As you may know lately some things have changed and I've been less and less present for Tom"

"Yeah, he told me, you're working to earn money and with College it's difficult."

"Yeah and I've been thinking a lot lately, because I know I'm not the only one in this situation... Do you think it will be better if I end stuff here?"

"Hold on a minute you aren't serious?!"

"I just make him suffer Ranboo, with everything going on I can't be present as I wish I was. I just think it would be better like this."

"Ok, first of all, you're not making him suffer and do you really want this?"

"Then how does it react to this situation?"

"He's..." Ranboo sighed "It's hard for him."

"You see, he's hurt and it's my fault"

"You're both hurting in this situation, you have to talk about his... I shouldn't say that but tomorrow Tom is in Nottingham, you can talk about it. I see your point of view but I think if you do that you might think it will arrange everything when actually you're both going to suffer more."
