Hi there!

Welcome and thank you in advance for helping out with my and others' stories. It's much appreciated. <3

But I would like to ask you something.

When you comment, please keep in mind to be helpful. I have in my years on Wattpad seen three different types of comments. If I'm simplifying it.

Reactional comments - These appear to be the most common form of comments. People telling your characters to stop doing something, or don't go that way, or they exclaim in shock when something surprising or unexpected happens, or they wow when something cool happens, or groans when something bad or stupid happens. These comments are helpful. They will tell the author (me in this case) how you (the reader) react to things. It's valuable information.

Form comments - These are the second more common comments. They are comments about story structure, pacing, grammar, sentence structure, word use, repetitions, how dialogue tags work, etc. These are very helpful, especially to non-native English speakers (like me).

Explanatory comments - This type is less common. They're also the least useful. That's when the reader writes a comment, telling the author what your characters are doing, or why they're doing it. Dude, please. The author WROTE it. We know. We know more than the reader does what our characters are doing and why they're doing it. Please, refrain from making these types of comments. They are not very helpful. They can be helpful sometimes, in showing us what the reader is thinking. But please, at least then rephrase them. Instead of writing something like: Here the hero does this, which is very effective because reasons. Write like this: I see that the hero is doing this, and it's my theory that they're doing it because of this reason. I think this will be the result.

So, what I would like you to do are the first two types. Please, don't tell me what my characters are doing or why they are doing it. I know this. Tell me your thoughts, your feelings, your reactions, your beliefs, your theories. Tell me if my grammar's off, the pacing is wrong (aka, something feels way too slow, boring, too fast, too unclear, etc).

Thank you so much for your time!

Off you go. Read! :D
