We went back to the Wheelers house, I tried sleeping but I couldn't because people kept playing 'Girls On Film' in my ears, so when I heard people coming down the stairs, I went up and saw Mr and Mrs Wheeler and Holly
"Good morning, Rory." Mrs Wheeler said smiling
"Good morning." I smiled back, I walked to Holly and smiled "Morning, Holly." She smiled at me playing with her Lite Brite I sat down next to her "Is it okay if I use these?" I ask her
"Yeah." Holly replied looking up from her Lite Brite for a split second to see what I was talking about, I took a piece of paper and started drawing what I saw in Vecna's world, with 'Girls On Film' plying faintly on my headphone.
"Girls, breakfast." Mrs Wheeler said, Holly stood up and went to the kitchen and got some food "Do you want anything, Rory?" I nodded and stood up putting the crayon down, I went to the kitchen and saw Eggo's, Bacon, pancakes, waffles, I grabbed a plate and got some Eggo's and bacon and sat back down put my headphones on and continued drawing.
After a few minutes I hear muffled talking, I turn and see Nancy and Dustin and I smile slightly, and finish my drawing, Nancy sits next to me and I stop my music and take my headphones off
"Hey." I said to her
"Hey" she replied "You okay?"
"Just couldn't sleep. People kept blasting music in my ears, for an unknown reason." I said, Nancy chuckles "But Holly let me borrow some of her crayons. We've been having a fun morning haven't we?" Holly hummed, Nancy looked at all my drawing
"Is this what you saw last night?" Nancy asked
"I mean, it's supposed to be. I was never really an artist. Plus, I thought it would be easier to draw out than explain."
"Is that.."
"It's like they were on display. Like, he wanted me to see them. And there was this red fog..everywhere. It was like a dream, well, a nightmare."
"Do you think Vecna's just trying to scare you?"
"With Billy? Yeah. But when I got here..I don't know, something was different. He seemed surprised, almost. Like he didn't want me there."
"Maybe you infiltrated his mind. He invaded your mind, right? Is it that big of a leap to suggest you somehow wound up in his head?" Dustin said sitting down "Like Freddie Krueger's boiler room."
"Freddie Krueger?" Holly asked looking away from her Lite Brite
"He's this super burned-up dude with razors for fingers. And he kills you in your sleep" Dustin told her, I look at Dustin confused
"Dustin. Seriously, don't tell her that." I said taking a bite from the bacon that was on my plate
"Sorry. It's a movie. It's not real." Dustin said to Holly "Just...think about it. What if you somehow unlocked a back door to Vecna's world? Like, maybe the answer we're looking for is somewhere in this incredibly vague drawing. God, we need Will"
"No shit." I said "But I tried them again this morning, and it's the same busy signal."
"Is this a window?" Nancy asked grabbing the picture with a door on
"Yeah." I said
"Stained glass with roses." Nancy said looking at the picture
"Yeah. See? My drawings aren't that bad." I said to Dustin, Dustin does a sarcastic smile while he eats
"Yeah, well, it helps that I've seen it before." Nancy said before folding the paper, I move all the pieces of paper closer to her and she folded them all and put them in place, she starts drawing the outline of the house, I looked at her shocked
"It's pieces of a house." I said
"Not just any house. It's Victor Creel's house." Nancy said before standing up
"Where are you going?" Dustin asked with his mouth full
"Waking the others." Nancy said walking towards the basement, me and Dustin got up, Dustin got more bacon while I took my Eggo's and Bacon and went to the kitchen and Mrs Wheeler tools my plate off me and started cleaning it, I followed the others, then we left and got in the car and drove to the Creel house.
We walked up the pathway and saw the door had a border, Steve and Nancy take the nails out of the wood "What exactly are we supposed to be looking for in this shithole?" Steve asked before moving to the next nail
"We're not sure. We just know this house is important to Vecna." Nancy replied
"Because Rory saw it in Vecna's red soup mind world?"
"Yeah, she did." I answered annoyed moving next to Dustin
"Great." Steve muttered
"Maybe it holds a clue to where Vecna is. Why he's back. Why he killed the Creels." Dustin said "And how to stop him before he comes back for Rory."
"We don't think he's in here, do we?" Lucas asked
"Guess we'll find out." Max said bluntly, the wooden bored fell and we saw the door I drew
"Rory. What are you doing in here, Rory?" A voice in the back of my head said as I got a flashback
"It's locked." Steve said after trying to unlock the door "Should I knock? See if anybody's home."
"No need. I found a key." Robin said holding a brick, Steve throws it through the window and opens the door, we all walk inside
"Looks like someone forgot to pay their electric bill." Lucas said after trying to turn a lamp on
"Where'd everyone get those?" Steve asked after I turned my flashlight on
"Do you need to be told everything?" Dustin asked turning to him "Your not a child."
"Thank you." Steve said, I walked off as Dustin was taking his bag off, I went to the clock
"Holy shit. Hey guys?" I said "You all see that right?"
"Yeah." Steve and Dustin spoke
"Is this what you saw?" Nancy asked from behind me "In your visions."
"Exactly." I said nodding
"I mean, it's...just a clock. Right?" Robin asked before sliding past me to go to the clock, she wiped the dust off it "Like a normal old clock."
"Why is this wizard obsessed with clocks?" Steve asked "Maybe he's, like, a clockmaker or something?"
"I think you cracked the case, Steve. Well done." I say annoyed once again
"All I know is, the answered are here. Somewhere." Nancy started "Okay, everyone groups of two. Someone with Rory, and or Steve. Robin, upstairs." Nancy and Robin walked upstairs, Lucas and Max walked a different way, Steve sighed after he saw me and Dustin left
"Was that a sigh?" Dustin asked as Steve walked off
"No, it was not a sigh." Steve answered
"Why'd you sigh?"
"I didn't sigh. Just come on, guys."
"We heard you."
"W..We're just always partners or a group, okay?"
"You have a problem with that?"
"It'd just be nice to, I don't know, mix it up a bit." I roll my eyes as they were bickering and start looking around.
We went into a room and started looking around "Hey, uh, Henderson, Hargrove" Steve asked us
"Yeah?" We both said in union
"Could you both maybe, uh, clarify what sort of clues we're supposed to be looking for here?" Steve asked
"'The world is full of obvious this which nobody by any chance ever observes'" Dustin said with a British accent "Sherlock Holmes." He said normally before scoffing
"That's great." Steve said as me and Dustin walked from him "Thanks. That's great." After a few moments later we hear the door slam, I roll my eyes knowing it was Steve leaving the room.
