The cordelia ordeal

Thursday...

I wake up to laughter and angry shouts, my eyes snap open to see the twins with their phones out taking photos and Cordelia at the door at the door as angry as she's ever been, worse than the party, I look to see I'm still lying on blaze's body, him still asleep

How can he sleep with all of this noise

I jump off of the couch, blaze waking up as soon as I do and him looking around the room confused and slightly scared

" CANDYCE! Would you care to tell me why we have an un announced guest, and why you left the twins to do their own homework... And why you came home later than your curfew... I have ears Ya know, I heard you come in at 7:00 when you curfew is 6:30, you should be grateful you have a curfew at all you little slut," Cordelia growls angrily
I walk over to her, tears falling from my eyes already

" no Cordelia you don't understand.."

" NO YOU DONT UNDERSTAND CANDYCE! I have been your guardian for the past 6 years, SIX YEARS CANDYCE ! I would have left you in an orphanage if the court had let me, but no I had to take care of you, you, all about you all your father cared about CANDYCE! And I have been as kind as I can but this is the last straw... Looks like your not going to college," she says with a turn of her heel,

I feel like slapping her right here and now

" MUM! LISTEN TO HER!" Valentine screams

Cordelia stops in her tracks shocked to hear those words out of her mouth, she turns around and looks at valentine with evil eyes

" listen," sapphire repeats

" why should I?" Cordelia questions

" because... Candyce has her own problems, but she's still kind enough to put up with us, mum we were doing our own homework on purpose she helped us with our style, we have boyfriends because of her...." Valentine says

Cordelia looks unimpressed towards me before sapphire steps forwards

" She's was helping blaze too, she was teaching him to dance we know she asked us to help him, mum she cares for people..." She adds

" cares for people... When has she ever cared for anyone.... Who has she cared for? Huh riddle me that..." Cordelia says leaning against the door frame

" a five year old named summer Marrie," blaze says

" excuse me who asked you?" Cordelia says in his direction

" no one knows her instead of me, Candyce and Roxanne, if you asked these two they wouldn't know, Candyce found her, lost and alone, she took her to the cafe, me and Candyce became summer's guardians, Candyce has been taking care of her everyday at the cafe, she cares for summer probably more than summer's parents do, that's who Candyce takes care of," blaze growls standing next to me

" picking rats off the street are we," Cordelia questions

Snap... Ok more like slap
I lose it, she called summer a rat, I couldn't let her get away with that so I went up and slapped her

" summer Marrie is no rat! She is a kind caring 5 year old who has more charm and kindness than you in EVERY ASPECT! And you call making me your maid for 6 YEARS OF MY LIFE CARE?! I THINK NOT CORDELIA! SO DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH MY INHERITANCE MONEY! I DO NOT CARE!" I scream before running up to my room, ignoring the screams of Cordelia and the caring words of valentine and sapphire

I eventually storm back out of my room, bag in hand and storm out the door and onto the school bus, blaze, Valentine and sapphire already there talking to Roxanne, probably about the events of the morning.
