Yes I am a simp
A 5-year-old Marinette was playing around with her quirks in her room. She'd try to make shapes with the water she was keeping up in the air while using a force field under the water that wouldn't spill. Then suddenly Tom and Sabine climbed through her trapdoor with stern faces. Marinette instantly put the water she was playing with back in its cup and made the violet force field disappear.
"Marinette Dupain-Cheng what have we told you about using your quirks, "Sabine raised her tone making Marinette look down at the floor.
"That I'm not allowed to use them, but I do want to use them to help people and be a hero just like All Might. What's the point of having cool quirks if I can't use them, "Mari whined.
"All Might?"
"He's the number one hero in Japan and he's the coolest. He saves people with a smile on his face and I want to be like him, "Sabine and Tom looked at each other with concern in their eyes.
"We both know you want to use your quirks for good things, but you can't be a hero. Heroes get hurt during battle and sometimes die and we don't want the same fate for you, so for the last time. You are forbidden from using your quirks do you understand, "Marinette nodded her head.
"But what am I supposed to do now? I liked playing around with my quirks."
"Sigh, how about you start making arts and crafts or design stuff, "Mari groaned at their response.
"Fine, I guess I'll try it out, "Mari said as she took out some paper and colored pencils and started drawing. She never really had that much of an interest in art, but she thought that it would be best for her to do what her parents want. Tom and Sabine smiled at the sight and left her room.
"Hey, honey are you sure this is what Marinette needs, "Tom asked his wife.
"I'm sure, we can't let her go into danger and risk her life just to help others, "Sabine replied.
"Look I know, but is it the best for her not to use her quirks at all."
"It is and I'm sure of it, I can't let the same thing happen again Tom. I... just can't."
