Sa Hindi Pag-Alala

Chapter 2

"Woah, kaunti lang na tao rito sa school ang may alam na only child ka lang ah, seems like Theo is lucky!" She laughed and covered her mouth to show her excitement.

"Ano pa?" Dagdag niya.

"Uhm, aspiring writer pala siya. He loves to write something ever since he was a child, sabi niya sa'kin."

"OMG, SIS! Your personality clicks with his, bagay kayong dalawa!" Naomi said with a cheesy tone.

"Sira ka talaga, kainin mo na nga lang itong sandwich ko!" I said and stuffed it into her mouth and we laughed.

We returned to the classroom, and hours later, it was time to go home now. Habang nag-papack ako ng gamit ko, someone sat at the desk beside mine's.

"Hey, beautiful!"

I turned back to see who called my name. It was Seamus.

"Oh, ikaw pala 'yan, Mr. Alessandro." I replied and secretly sighed. Lagi akong kinukulit nitong lalaki na 'to, but we are friends though. 

"How's your day?" He winked at me.

"It's fine, but it's not now..." I squinted my eyes.

"What do you mean, my girl?" He said, then pouted at me.

I'm tired since whole day ang class namin, so I can't help but to give him cold responses. But, I don't hate him. Pero, parang iba ang approach niya sa'kin ngayong araw, I mean friends na kami since the start of school year, pero 'yung paraan ng pakikipag-usap sa'kin ay parang iba...

"Joke lang, but can you stop calling me 'your girl'? I find it uncomfortable kasi. Sorry."

I didn't expect myself to say that, but it just happened sooooo...

"Oh... don't be sorry, Ciara. I should be the one apologizing to you."

"--But can you give me your attention now?" He added.  

"Fine. What is it?" I replied.

"Let's get closer!" Seamus responded while smiling.

"U-Uh..."

"Hmm?" He waited for a reply.

"Aren't we close already? We've been friends for almost 2 months now, 'di ba?"

"I mean, you know, 'yung more than that..." He appears to be sincere and more serious with his words as we talk.

"What do you imply by 'more than that'?" I raised my left eyebrow to show inquisitiveness.

"Alam mo na, 'yung more than friends. Let's try to be more than that." Kinabahan ako bigla. Hindi ko ine-expect na sambitin ang mga salitang iyon. I mean, we've been a good friends simula nung nag-start ang school year...

2 Months Ago

"H-Hi!"

"Ooh, hello! Nice to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you too. I'm Seamus Alessandro by the way." He shook my hand. I smiled.

"I'm Ciara Blanca! How are you?" He asked me.

"I-I'm doing just fine... And you? Tell me about your experience so far in the school! You're a transferee, right?"

"Yes, so far masaya naman. Welcoming 'yung students dito, like you." He replied, then chuckled after.

I laughed as well.

"That's good! I'm happy for you!"

"Can I call you just Ciara? You can call me Alessandro hehe." He asked me with a bright smile.
