chapter fifteen

"paimon is lost for words! the brushwork is smooth, and the composition seems professional quality. You had no problems there, so what the heck happened with the face, huh!? Explain that stupid expression! explain it!" y/n couldn't help but laugh a bit more as aether close eye smiled, thinking that he did a good job on his artwork

"uh, smooth...professional-quality?" albedo said as he look surpised to what paimon said 

"and those eyes! those boring, lifeless eyes! where is the soul!"

"paimon it doesn't look umm that bad," y/n said as they tried not to laugh. Albedo began to speak as they both looked at him "uh, aether, have you previously received any education in fine arts" albedo asked, making aether think a bit "no, but...art comes from the heart, so-"

"what? You pour your heart on the page, and this is what comes out!" she pointed at the art, which was her in a cooking pot. I never wanted to laugh so hard in my life y/n thought to themself, trying to hold in their laugh "I just wanted to convey how special you are."

"special ? Huh, you seriously think special is supposed to look this ugly paimon's not convinced, but paimon is struggling to come up with a come back" y/n was gonna say something but kept it to themself. It wouldn't be right if they just bud in until albedo spoke "fascinating" is that all he gonna say fascinating

"paimon, if this is not to your liking, I can make a few amendments aether what do you think" aether seems to pleased as albedo walks up to the canvas I tried to cheer up aether as he fake sob as for albedo he seem to work very hard to improve on the artwork, as he was done he moves to the side and we both look at the canvas. We began to clap as well he did on the art

"wow albedo,the artwork look beautiful what to you guys think about the art" I look over to paimon and aether as they seem shocked a bit "it's... it's a total ground-up overhaul. That's what is it soooo pretty. Is that really what paimon looks like?" she said as she stare at the artwork 

after the whole artwork was over, me and aether started to talk about different other topics and other stuff, the sun was setting as we made it to the cave 

the next day, I woke up next to my little snow fox. I was even surprised that this little animal wanted to stay with me more. as I got up i walked over to the group that was in a circle "good morning," I said, getting everyone's attention. " good morning y/n" amber said with a smiled "how did everyone sleep" i said "I slept great last night. How about you guys all rested up" amber asked, looking at the me and the others. "I slept great too, and this little one too. How about you guys" I said, rubbing the bottom of the chin as I looked at the others.

"im fine as usual" eula said looking at y/n "i slept pretty well too" aether chime in smling a bit albedo turn back to us and started to spoke "the path down the mountain is easier to follow in the day light. let take this chancr to head down to the base camp" y/n nodded as well for paimon "let's go if we make good time maybe we can all get lunch together" of all things she could think about food but i don't blame her im actually feeling a bit peckish

everyone agreed and started walking i ran up to bennett and created a fun little topic while putting my fox in my pocket"i flipped another insignia just outside the camp. wrong again!" he said as he face his head towards the others "so your bad luck is all used up we'll be down the mountent in no time amber said  "i mean having bad luck is like having good luck that how i like to think about it like that" i said smiling at bennett "really?" he ask as i nodded

as we was walking albedo stop and he notice that rock began to fall where he was standing as he look up he yelled out saying an avalanche elua grab amber and cover her bennett fell off the cliff i look over to my side and try to cach him but ended up failed to catch him as well for albedo

"hey are you alright" bennett said as he has his hands on my shoulder i held my head as i felt a slight ringing in my ear "yeah im fine how about you, your not hurt or anything right?" i said worring a bit "im a little dizzy but im not in any pain i don't think im injured"

"that's great to hear" y/n got up and helped Bennett up. They notice that their pockets felt empty, so they looked around a bit until they gasped, "what the matter?" Bennett looked at the small little animal "y/n, I'm so sorry," he said as they burry the animal in the snow. Then, they heard the other voice calling out to them, "we should go. We shouldn't keep them waiting," I said as he nodded and ran over to them.

"y/n Bennett! are you okay? Are you hurt"

"no, luckily, but Bennett is a little dizzy but not injured."

"thank goodness scared the life out of me."

"Sorry for making you worry, amber."

"if you're dizzy, sit and rest for a while," Eula said as I agreed with what she said "ah, it's fine, really this kind of thing happens all the time. I'll be fine, thank you," he said as we both walked up to them, I look around and notice something someone was missing "wait where albedo isn't he with you guys."

"We thought he fell off the cliff with you two...he still hasn't shown up," paimon asks as I shake my head no "we've found Bennett and y/n here, so albedo can't be far away. Keep searching this area" I started to get a bit concerned as we began to search the area.
