"my baby so small" Cartier smiled looking at the sonograms of her baby on the screen
"the baby is healthy you're soon so start showing your belly in around a week or two so watch out for that" Cartier was at an appointment
"you need to stop stressing and relax more. if your stressing it harms the baby I would recommend taking walks and getting fresh air"
Cartier wiped the substance of her stomach listening and taking the doctors advice
"oh and for dad going on walks with her, communication helps because pregnant women tend to feel misunderstood" kemari nodded
this was the first time they had seen each other since the incident and she was now two months pregnant
the doctor handed them both a leaflet and left giving them time to get ready to go
"how you been?" Kemari broke the silence. he Been trying to contact her but she was avoiding him
"I've been fine how have you been?" she returned the question lying through her teeth. she couldn't stop thinking of that night
"im sorry for what happened I just don't what you to be mad at me" he said looking at her intensely
"im not angry at you kemari I'm just a little scared that's it" she said trying to dismiss the conversation
"what you scared of?" he wanted to know exactly what was bothering her
"what happened . I didn't think you do things like this okay it just scared me" she mumbled avoiding his eye contact
"I don't do that shit, the things she was saying triggered me I promise I'm not like that" she knew he acted out of anger and she couldn't blame him
she was just scared. Cartier couldn't sleep for more than 5 hours without jumping out of her sleep
"so what happens now?" he asked. they weren't speaking. She would only talk about the baby with him, he was confused
"I don't know" she said making him nod slowly with sadness in his eyes
"Ight I hear you" he stood up clearing his throat. he walked over to her. her body was tense but relaxed when he hugged her
"wanna come over to talk tonight?" she asked. seven quickly accepted the offer and smiled
"okay I'll text you"

"pretend you ain't see that" she said turning her music off. She noticed the red cup in his hands and his low eyes
"what are you drinking?" she asked in a serious tone she didn't like it when he was under the influence around her he would be out of control
"nothing" he lifted the cup in the air when she tried to look in it
"stop lying to me" she mugged. They just looked at eachother. he was waiting for her to let it go and she was waiting for him to tell her
"since when you started lying to me?" She didn't like his behaviour
"you finna be angry at me so I'm lying to save myself" he said licking his lips smirking at. She looked so fine when she was mad
"I don't like liars just tell me the truth kemari. I don't like this side of you" she felt him put his arms around her and kiss her forehead
"my bad C but you sure you wanna know what I'm drinking?" he asked her and she nodded. he lowered his cup to show the pink crystal clear lean
she signed in disappointment at him making him scratch his head stuck on what he was going to say
"kemari what is wrong with you?"
"I can't sleep it helps me sleep" he was about to take a sip before she snatched it out of his hand
"nigga you wanna be the next sleeping Beauty but this time you ain't finna wake up?" she mugged
"man it ain't never that deep" he rubbed his face in frustration. he didn't want her to be all in his buisness
"Ight whatever" she handed him his cup and walked away and back to what she was doing. If he wanted to act like that she left him too she wasn't going to mother him
"what you mad for?" he asked putting it down and pulling her shirt making her come towards him
"you basically killing your self drinking that" she rubbed his scar slowly looking at him
"im fine nothings wrong with me C"
"bruh that's what they all say before they end up moon walking with micheal Jackson" kemari laughed. When Cartier was mad she said some crazy stuff
"sorry sorry" he stopped laughing when he noticed she wasn't joking
"kemari I want my baby to have a father. I don't want this baby to feel like jae"
jae felt like he was unwanted because he didn't have a father. when he asked about having a dad she said that she didn't know where he was
because In all honesty she didn't and lying to a child is something she didn't want to do.
jae would get bullied because it was typical for black women to be single mothers because men wouldn't step up to be fathers

"what you mean feel like jae?" he asked confused. His whole mood changed
"jae asked me why his sibling is going to have a dad but he won't... how was I supposed to respond to that?" kemari felt really bad for jae
"all I'm trying to say is that even if you don't care for my opinion think about your child" she told him. Kemari hugged her
"Imma stop for you" he kissed her lips gently multiple times making her smile. They let comfortable silence take over
"I have to pack omg" she reminded herself. Kemari sat on her bed watching her run around packing last minute
she finally finished packaging and putting out her airport outfit before she got ready for bed
"you ain't taken this off since i got it for you" he smiled looking at the Cartier bracelet on her wrist from when he asked her to be girlfriend
"why would I take it off?" She asked confused and he shrugged
"have you seen my makeup headband?" She had misplaced it and couldn't find it
"yea it's at my crib" Cartier became uneasy reminding herself about what happened
"you're good C" he rubbed her belly seeing her aura change. she had just got over the nightmares and now they were going to come back
