A MASTERPIECE OF TRAGEDY

I SAVE LIVES, BUT I DIDN'T SAVE MY HEART FROM PAIN OF LOVE

I have a boyfriend, and we're together for almost 2 years.

We're both man, pero hindi ito naging hadlang sa aming pag-iibigan.

He is Kiel, and I am Kean.

I was 21 and he's 23 when we first met. We are in the same university.

We started as a best buddy until we graduated, then became lovers.

I am now a doctor, and he's a soldier.

I'm doing my best to save life. While he's doing his best to save the country.

Saving life is a hard thing to do, so as saving the country. But we're both happy to do it.

For our almost 2 year together, nothing has change. He's the same person I loved from the beginning.

Minsan nawawalan kami ng oras sa isa't isa, but we both understand it.

We both have duties to fulfill. Duties in the people and in the country.

“Good morning love, breakfast is ready.” bungad nito sakin ng lumabas ako sa kwarto.

“Good morning din, love.” I responded.

We always like this. He's the one who cooked dahil wala akong talent doon.

Umupo ako sa aking pwesto at nilagyan nito ng pagkain ang aking pinggan.

“Um love, I have something to tell you.” he stated while we're in the middle of eating.

“Hmm? What is it?” tanong ko at tumingin sa kanya.

“Madedestino ako sa isang probinsya, love.” panimula nya.

Well, part naman yon ng trabaho nya. Lagi syang nadedestino sa iba't ibang lugar and that's totally fine to me.  It's a responsibility of a soldier.

“At matatagalan ako doon, maybe a months I guess.” dugtong nya.

“Matagal nga yan, but it's part of your responsibility as a soldier kaya hindi ako kokontra.” sagot ko.

May part sakin na ayaw ko dahil masyadong matagal ang ilang buwan. Unlike before na weeks nandito na ulit sya.

I'm going to miss him. Pero dahil iyon ang trabaho nya, at yon ang nakakapagpasaya sa kanya, kaya doon ako.

He holds my hand while looking at my eyes. He smiled so do I.

“I'm so lucky to have you.” he said. “I love you, Kean.” he added.

“I love you too, Kiel.”

After that, naghanda na sya dahil isang linggo nalang ay aalis na sila.

We spend that 1 week for us to get together. We watch movies, eat at our favorite restaurants, we also play some arcades, and my favorite part was watching the sunset at the sea.

I really enjoy it. Those memories will gonna be remembered habang wala sya.

Nandito kami ngayon sa bus station, today is the day na kailangan na nyang pumunta probinsya kung saan sya nakadestino.

I'm really sad to be honest, ayaw ko syang umalis pero hindi pwede. It's his duty.

“Love, don't be sad na. Ilang buwan lang naman e.” he exclaimed.

“I'm going to miss you, love.” I whispered while sobbing.

“Mahihirapan akong umalis pag ganyan ka.” he wiped the tears on my cheecks. “Don't cry na, mabilis lang 'to.” he said and kiss my forehead.

Ngumiti ako sa kanya para sabihing okay na ako. Darn, dapat sanay na ako e pero ngayon I'm crying like a baby.

“Mag iingat ka doon ha. Balik ka sakin, hihintayin kita.” sabi ko sakanya.
