What taehyung did first was to eat his meal while All i want for christmas is playing. Not gonna lie, even tho it isn't christmas. Taehyung still bops to that song regardless of the season.
As soon as he's done eating, he changed his clothes and goes down to the parking lot where his car is parked. Starting his car up, he couldn't help but to worry about today's monthsary. "Is chae-won even going to show up? I haven't heard from her since the last time we texted" he thought negatively.
But taehyung convinces himself positively that it's all going to turn out good. He starts to drive on the way to chae-won's favourite pastry shop where his favourite carrot cake is located. It took around 30 minutes despite it being close because of the server congestion in the highway road.
After that, he jumps off his car and goes inside at the pastry shop. "Good morning, sir. What can i get started for you today?" The female counter spoke up
"I would like to order your special carrot cake" taehyung replied to her
"I'm sad to say that sir we're actually out of stock of that carrot cake but we also have different varieties you can choose instead of carrot cake" she said politely
Taehyung's mind is totally derailed at the moment. He wasn't expecting it to be unavailable. And it's the only carrot cake chae-won wants. Other than that, he wants to make it special but it seems like this is the first problem he's facing today.
"Uhm, actually i only want the special carrot cake. Do you actually have any stock left? I can pay 3x the price or even 5x" taehyung convinces her
"I'm sorry sir, but we're actually out of stock with that cake. However, the other branch might have a few special carrot cakes left. If you want, i could give them a call and see if they still have some but that would mean, you're going to pick it up" she replied
"Sir, i would love that" taehyung said
After that, the girl contacted the other branch to see if there are remaining carrot cakes left at their branch. A few minutes, the girl puts down the phone and faces taehyung.
"Sir, i already contacted our other branch and they said, they already have reserved a carrot cake for you. All you need to do is to be there" she spoke politely
"Sure, I'll go there right now. Where is your other branch?" Taehyung asked
"10 kilometres away from here, so i think you should go there right now if you have prior engagements because the traffic will done you good" she replied
Taehyung instantly tenses up when he heard the 10 kilometres because in that sense he's going to skip lunch and it might take long because of the congestion. He pulls up his wallet and hands her 1000 tip.
"Sir, i can't accept this. I did nothing" she tries to hand back the money. But taehyung convinces her to accept it.
"It's what you deserve" taehyung replied and instantly left off from the pastry shop. Going there, he starts to feel agitate by the congestion in the road. He can't help but to feel mad how the traffic decided to intervene his smooth plans today. Then his phone rings.
"Taehyung, where are you?" Jimin on the other line asked
"Ah, I'm currently driving on the way to buy a carrot cake" tae replied
"Well, what are your plans today? Do you need a hand? Cause we're willing " jimin said
"Nothing for you all to be concerned with. I'm okay but thanks. I'll see you all tomorrow after my surprise" taehyung replied and ended the call
After more than 2 hours of driving, he arrived at the pastry shop
"Hi sir, what can i get started for you today?" The male attendant asked
"Uhm, I'm the customer who went to your other branch asking for the reserved carrot cake" taehyung replied
"Sure sir, let me just prepare it for you" the male attendant saud and went his way to pack the cake
Not more than 5 minutes, the male attendant hands him the cake and taehyung paid it. He goes instantly to his car and starts it up. Before he decided to drive, he texted chae-won to confirm
"Chae-won are you coming? Please come. It's been a long time since i saw you. I'll be waiting at you to our special place in 5pm" taehyung then drives on the way to their special place. His mood got better by the fact his surprise is complete. The design pictures, cards, cake and the box (contains necklace).
