Thanks for everything :)

I picked up my pace checking the time again. 8:22.

How did telling a 2 hour long story take only 5 minutes. But I still don't know where I am.

That was before I saw the grocery store.

Thank god I was near.

The local grocery store is right in front of Tommy's and my house. I jogged all the way to the backyard. I jumped over the fence and tried to land.

Keyword – Tried.

I braced for the impact. Straight on my face. I had luckily not fallen on any of Tommy's garden gnomes.

Phew. That was close. Be careful you idiot!

My thoughts were not helpful.

I looked in while I was pulling of my shoes and keeping them in the shoe rack.

Hey, I may be living an unconventional life but didn't mean I had to be gross.

I finally got the shoes in the cupboard. I made sure not to slam it too hard or else Tommy would have known I was out immediately.

I could have given an excuse but my clothes gave away everything. I mean who wears freaking jeans and a leather jacket at 8:30 in the morning ?

I slid the backdoor open while thanking the gods for the back door being the sliding types.

I tip toed back up. Well maybe not tip toed. More like tip-jogged.

I finally reached the door I was searching for.

The black one.

I was allowed to choose the colour of my door so why waste it on a peach or blue?

I opened the door as gently as possible but I should have known. It gave one of the most loudest screeches ever.

I'm not sure if I am over exaggerating but I'm sure it sounded like a 7 year old screaming.

I didn't have to tip toe anymore due to the fact my room was soundproof. Yup soundproof. You can't really play instruments without making noise.

I found the clothes closest to the door.

It was my blue hoodie from day before yesterday. I also found a rather questionable smelling pair of trousers.

When I wore the trousers I swear I felt something wet touch my leg.

It didn't matter though because that second I heard a door creeking from outside.

Tommy

I jumped on to the bed and made it look as slept in as possible and put on my best fake sleep act. I heard the click of my door knob

The same loud screech from earlier played.

Jeez. I need to oil that thing

I started breathing softer and slower.

This needs to work.

"Tubboooo. Are you awaaake?" He dragged his words out due the fact he just got up.

There was an intriguing silence. That was until Tommy made a sound.

"Hmph" was the sound he made. I was praying with my heart that, that was a good 'hmph'

"You idiot I know you went out yesterday." The words came out so softly

My breath stopped.

Oh god. . .

I heard a little chuckle before the bed got heavier on one side. Then I decided that I was caught.

I got up slowly and said " How did you know?" My voice was raspy and coarse. I guess it was because I haven't spoken since I got up.

Tommy shook his head a little and put a small smile on his face. I knew I wasn't in for big trouble but my heart strings would now be pulled because of the sweet thing Tommy would say.

" I always know." He paused. "Your my best friend Tubs I can't help it."

"And now I feel guilty." I said

"That was the point dummy"

I giggled. If I knew Tommy I was sure he would turn any sad moment to a funny one.

"Come on now. Get up. Have a shower." He spoke in a soft voice that he only reserved for a few people. Me being proudly one of those people.

"Mkay."

"I'm making pancakes. You want some?"

"Yup." The silence almost consumed the moment until I spoke up again. "And thanks. You know, with everything."

"Don't mention. You know I'm always there, right?"

" Is that your informal way of asking me to date you?"

"Shut up" Tommy lightly smacked me on my head while he said the words.

"Okk. Chill out. Or you could say-"

"Take a chill pill. I know. Now hurry up."

I smiled. And it was a genuine one. Most of the time Tommy knew exactly what I would say. It's like one of those TV show friendships.

Well, time to shower I guess

So unenthusiastic are my thoughts. That means not having enthusiasm.

I got into the shower and felt as though today was going to be a bit weird.

But why?

Well we're about to find out right now.
