Some disclaimers before this starts:
1: This story is about Nero and Nero only. Other DMC characters will be referenced, and some may make brief appearances, but this story will be largely focused on Nero.
2: While this will be Nero from after DMC5, I will be using his DMC4 design because that's my favorite Nero design.
3: Nero will not have Devil Breakers. Instead, his Devil Bringer will be making a return. I have nothing against the Devil Breaker system, in fact I find them quite enjoyable and fun. I just personally prefer Devil Bringer. Also, I REALLY like the Devil Bringer's design.
4: In terms of the DMC aspects of this story, I'm going to try to stick mostly to DMC4's aesthetics because I really enjoy the aesthetic of DMC4.
5: This is my first time writing a character like Nero. I will try to stick to his character as much as I can, but please bare with me if I write something that's out of character for him.
6: Jabs will be taken at the 2013 DMC Reboot for shits and giggles.
You guys may notice that I'm mostly using DMC4. I will use aspects of other DMC games, but I'm mostly using DMC4. Don't get me wrong, 1 was fun, we don't talk about 2, 3 was awesome, and 5 was pretty good.
But as I said, you may notice my bias towards 4. There are a few reasons for that, but the main one is that DMC4 is kind of the one that introduced me to Devil May Cry.
