"Come on little prince!" Wadim whined. I let out a large sigh. 'Even if I traveled to the very depths of hell this creep will still find me.'
"I said to leave me alone, what do you not understand about that?" I complained while taking a sharp turn in my castle corridors. The violet colored halfling followed closely behind. Never missing a step. "and I'm not little." I continued. Wadim giggled.
"You're shorter than most people your age." My eyes turned to send a death glare towards the intruder. Not surprisingly, it had no or very little effect. I huffed in annoyance.
"Can't you at least listen to my proposal?" He begged. Trying to get my attention.
"No!" I shouted back. Picking up my pace. Using my vampire speed. Sadly, the purple eyed freak was a vampire as well. Even though he was only half, he still had half of my powers. This included super speed. 'Why did I even turn this guy?' I questioned my judgment. My eyes glanced back towards the stalker. 'Was it because I found it amusing that he had a love for the supernatural? That if he was changed into the very thing he loved he would learn to hate my kind like the rest?' I absently shook my head. 'No, that couldn't be it. Maybe because he would be an annoyance to Rowena's kind and those halflings that wish to dance on my death bed?' I shook my head again. My judgement is better than that. I would at least know if he would turn into, well this. Or at least Vladamire's judgment. 'Wait a minute.' My legs stopped without my realization. 'Why didn't I just go to Vladamire about this problem?'
"What are you thinking about that has you so distracted, little prince?" The white haired vampire whispered in my ear. His ice cold breath sent shivers across my body and goose bumps form on my arms. With one swift movement, I spun on my heel, using as much force as possible my arms pushed the other boy as far away as possible. Which, sadly wasn't very far. Since this vampire found me 'predictable.' At least he was a good three feet from me.
"I didn't mean to frighten you." He calmly explained. 'My eyes looked behind my companion not by choice. Vladamire was resting currently from the harsh bullet shot at him by the halflings. Or Eterna umbre, which is ruffly translated to eternal shadows. His condition was getting worse. Out of guilt I had tried to visit him, however from his direct orders Rowena had kept me as far away as possible from Vladamire. But I was sure I couldn't handle this little problem on my own. My focus returned to the creep in front of me. He had already taken a few steps closer to me. He was now two feet away.
'It's now or never.' I thought. Beginning to make a mad dash towards Vladamire's room. However, the cruel universe had other plans. Wadim had used that last of his speed, catching me off guard and grabbing my wrist in a tight yet firm grip.
"Let go!" I hissed at him. Already annoyed with this game of cat and mouse.
"I have to talk to you" He responded back just as cold. Clearly, he was annoyed as well. His other hand grabbed my other hand. I was now trapped. I sighed, knowing complaining would get me no were. At least not this time. My eyes locked with his.
"What?" I coldly asked. Hoping to get this over with as soon as possible. His eyes looked deeply into mine.
"It's nice to see your quiet side." He murmured. " It allows others to admire your beautiful features without distractions." His comment was very off topic and very distracting. My eyes narrowed. The halfling sighed. "I have the cure for Vladamire's disease." He announced. His voice steady, showing no signs of lying. I felt my eyes widen to the side of dinner plates.
"Disease?" I questioned. The other vampire nodded.
"The bullet he was hit with carried silver, holy water, and another ingredient that was specially made to instantly kill a vampire. Your butler was very lucky, he didn't die as planned how ever the potion had, other side effects or so to say."
I looked at him. Not sure how to respond. "A-another side effect?" I repeated. The taller nodded.
"Have you ever heard of narcolepsy?" He asked, hoping to find a better way to explain it. I shook my head. Causing the other to sign. "It's a disease humans get. It causes excessive sleep and sleep attacks." He stopped to make sure I was following. I nodded, encouraging him to continue. "For us vampires, our senses our heightened at least ten times more than a humans. Meaning-"
"Eternal sleep." I finished. Earning a nod from the other. Letting go of my wrists his hand closed around my back, pulling me back into a deep bear hug. I ignored the closeness with the other. Guilt rushing through me.
"What do you want for it?" I questioned. The other pulled back slightly. His eyes staying directly with mine. He offered a small smile.
"That, my Dracula should be obvious." I shook my head. "Your little gang will kill me, there's no way that plan will work. Even if I agreed."
"We could leave Transylvania then." Once again I shook my head. Starting to feel, feelings that I had never felt before. Sadness, from my frozen heart perhaps. I did love another.
"I-I can't" The vampire started to glare at me.
"Is it because you love another, even more than the butler of yours?" He almost yelled. His voice rising with each word. I glared at him. 'Whats this guys problem.'
"Vladamire and I have a business relationship nothing less." The other shook his head. His grip beginning to tighten on my shoulders.
"I meant with that little hunter friend of yours. What was his name? Van- Van?"
"Van Helsing." I angrily corrected him. His eyes turned to a deeper violet. If they were to turn any darker, his eyes would be completely black. "And he's just a friend." The other tsked. Something he always tended to do in any situation.
"I see the way you look at him, clearly you have feelings for that, human." He spit out. "I'd rather have to deal with you being in love with Vladamire." With one dark look, I lifted up leg and kicked him where the sun didn't shine. Sending Wadim tumbling to the ground. Not wasting anytime I tried to make another run for it. Only for the freak to grab onto my ankle and pull me down to the ground. My arm banging harshly on the stone cold floor. I cried out in pain.
"Oh my, what are you two boys doing?" A feminine voice called out towards us. The sound of heels clicking against the hard stone steadily walked towards us. Stopping directly in front of me. My eyes scanned her dark black heels up to her long sun kissed hair. Barley covered by her long dark hat.
"Willow!" I commented. The older woman tipped her hat jokingly.
"Of course silly, who else would it be-Oh my whose your friend? He appears to be in lots of pain." I turned to see Wadim stare wide eyed at the woman in front us of.
"I, uh. Have to go!" He growled out. Disappearing completely from anyone's line of vision.
"Oh my, Dracula what happened to your wrist?" She exclaimed. Reach down to help me up.
"Nothing." I vaguely explained. Walking past her. Her hand reached out to grasp mine.
"Non sense, As your personal witch it's my job to treat every wound that the young master happens to receive." She responded giving me a large warm motherly smile.
