"L/n! Tetsu! Glad to see you both." The woman smiled, setting the tray on the counter. "Picking up something for the road?"

"Yep, can I have nine choco-chip cookies in a box please?" Kuroo turned to the girl who was still eyeing the donuts, she glanced at him and raised her brows.

"Oh! Uh..."

Should she do it? Should she? She'd be better off not doing it. She didn't feel like regretting today.

She shook her head, "I'll just have a mini apple pie for Kenma please." She beamed at the older woman who nodded, not wanting to pry into her decisions, which she appreciated.

"You don't want a cinna-bun?" The boy asked furrowing his brows, crossing his arms over his chest. She realised she never saw him wear that light blue hoodie before. It looked good.

"Nah I'm not feeling like it today." Sometimes it sucked being able to lie with such ease.

But then again, she didn't want anyone knowing about her issues. What did it matter anyways?

The woman came back with two carry-on boxes, telling them to take it and hurry along before they missed the bus. Though it wasn't like Nekoma would leave without their team captain.

At the bridge, Kenma sat on a sidewalk muttering at his device. He looked up to find the two walking towards him as if they had all the time in the world.

"You took forever. There's this cool thing, it's called punctuality. You've clearly never heard of the concept." Kenma grumped looking up from his phone.

"It was Tetsurō's fault." She raised her hand in surrender, "I waited ten minutes for him. Then he forced me to go to the bakery. He even made me wait for him outside afterwards."

Kuroo gaped at her in betrayal, "you said you didn't wait that long! And I didn't force you to go, you were the one who begged me to take—" She snapped her head at him, "Hold up, begged? Do I look like your pathetic as—"

"You both are pathetic, did you get me anything?"

"Not after calling me pathetic I didn't." Y/n huffed, marching ahead of them, the rest of the team coming into sight.

"Hey, is it apple pie..." Kenma mumbled slightly speeding behind her debating on whether he should run after her or not, "Hey, Y/n is it apple pie!" he called out, deciding to retrieve his food.

She giggled as the blond chased after her, stunning everyone. It was the first time for them seeing her this...lively.

Inouka and Lev bounced up in excitement.

"Y/n you seem happy today! Did something good happen?"

She stopped, finally handing the box to Kenma who huffed in gratitude, "I guess I'm happy that I get to see my friends from Karasuno."

"You're friends with Karasuno's team?" Kuroo asked, intrigued.

She felt her face slightly heating up at everyone's sudden interest, "I mean...I'm not that close with any of them...They're more like acquaintances." She shrugged, "I'm a little closer to their middle blocker, Hinata Shoyo?" They nodded in understanding. "But you guys better beat them. Their manager and I bet money on our teams. Don't you dare fail me."

There was an attempt at saying some 'encouraging words' but Y/n knew she scared them more than giving them confidence.

On the bus, she and Kenma sat next to each other to play games, Kuroo occasionally reminded them to get off, and after an hour of ignoring him, he decided to abuse his 'captain' card and take their electronics away again. All of them.
