" you ok?" I asked concerned sitting beside Ty in my assigned seat as he sat there with his head on the desk
normally when I get to school he's in the hallway but he wasn't today so I had to make sure he was here since most of my classes are with him
He looked up and nodded before putting his head back down
" talk to mama Ki" I said putting my hand on his shoulder
" yo hands cold as fuck"
" I know, what's wrong tho?"
" nah cause you be laughing at shit that's not funny and ion want you ta feel like I'm being mean ta you"
" I promise I won't laugh" I said holding my pinky out
He looked at my finger before looking back at me
" you took yo nails off?"
" no, most of them came off" I said showing him where it was only a few left on both of my hands
" mm" he hummed and connected our fingers

" I'm getting to it nigga, ight so my granny in the hospital a-and she like real sick so I wanted ta go see her cause the doctors talking like she on her death bed but my mama was like I should go to school cause she don't want my grades ta drop more and they'll like wait for me to decide whatever they gon do or some shit plus my granny would want me to continue to do good in school when I really don't give a fuck bout it, ion know I'm just scared like I have a weird feeling that something's gon happen but my mama said she'll lemme know if she hear anything gon then, don't say sorry or nun cause she not gon yet and it might jinx it"
" can I hug you?" I asked pouting and he laughed before nodding and standing up
