"Take your time, just not a lot cause Matteo will probably come up here and drag you downstairs." I simply nodded went to the bathroom, closing and locking the door behind me.

I tore the grey hoodie off, placing it in a small bin on the top shelf in the closet so I wouldn't have to see it. Luca was acting just fine 5 minutes ago and now he's acting like i'm some stranger.

Two can play that game. I don't need Luca or his half sided self messing with me anymore.

Leaving Kins this morning did make me a little sad. I actually enjoyed having a sleepover in her room with her actually in it. No more sleepovers in an empty room with a stuffed animal sitting in her place.

Before going into dads office I decided to do a quick clothing change which included a different pair of basketball shorts and a white shirt.

I knocked on the door labeled office, "Si accomodi" was heard from the other side. [come in] I entered the room, seeing my father already dressed in his signature black suit, re-reading papers he was to have signed 4 days ago.

"You wanted to see me?" I said, pulling the chair from under his desk. He nodded, taking off his glasses and picking up the glass that sat half full on the edge. I assumed it was his whiskey, a habit he picked up on after Kinsley went missing.

"The guards reported a mysterious man walking around our land. He was said to have been dressed in all black, the letter M placed on his back in gold print." He explained, I nodded, processing the information.

"One of Marchetti's men I suppose. Stupid guy for allowing his men to waltz around our property with his signature practically written on their backs. What did they do with this-" I paused, looking for the correct word. "-boy."

My father scoffed, "Luis and Francisco threw him in the cellar, along with 4 others, the same M printed on their backs." He picked up the glass again, downing the rest of the golden liquid.

"I'll pay them a visit later. Tell our men to keep a close eye out, tell them to spread out more. I can call Tommaso and tell him to send a few other guys just to be cautious." I said, pulling out my phone.

"You can do that later, there were only 5 of them anyways, and they are all locked in the basement." My father said, standing from his chair. "Come on. Andrea has been blowing up my phone saying breakfast is ready."

I gathered myself, checking my phone for the text message. "I'll meet you down there, I have to do something first." My father eyed me, "It will only take 2 seconds." He nodded, going out the door.

I was told by Andrea that Kins was left in her room because she had to use the bathroom. Apparently that was 10 minutes ago and she has yet to show herself downstairs.

I entered her room, noticing the bathroom door was locked. I knocked lightly, "Kins, you in there? It's Matteo again." I said, moving backwards. There was a slight sniffle from the other side of the door. "Hey, you ok? Let me in."

The door was unlocked, showing Kinsley with tear stained cheeks. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked, pulling her in for a hug. She tried breaking out of my hold but I wasn't letting go. She settled down, wrapping her arms around me.

"What happened to that hoodie you had on?" I asked, noticing she had on a black long sleeved shirt now. "L-Luca told me that it wasn't mine and that I needed to take it off. And when Andrea came in to get us for breakfast, Luca pushed me to make it seem like he wasn't giving me a hug, but he was. What's wrong with me. Why didn't he want anyone to see him giving me a hug?" She sobbed into my shirt.

"Bambina, nothing is wrong with you, Luca, he's just-" I tried to find the right words, "- I don't know. Luca shouldn't have done that." I was beyond angry and Luca. Not only did he make my little sister cry, but he put his hands on her.

"I'll deal with him, Kins, I promi-" "No, No, no don't do anything to him it's ok see look i'm just fine!" She went on, "Hey, shhhh, it's ok. Come with me." I said, picking her up. She wrapped her legs around my torso as I carried her over towards my room.

"Here, put this hoodie on, to make him jealous. And dry those tears, you don't have to cry over an asshole like that, I can promise you he is not worth it." I assured her. She put on the oversized pink hoodie.

"Now come on. We have to go eat before Dad comes up here and drags us both down by our hair." I said and she laughed.

"Ohhhh you think thats funnnyyy." I said, rushing ahead of her. "Matteo, you better get down here before I drag you down here by your ear." Dad yelled from downstairs. "See I told you." I said, grabbing her hand to bring her downstairs.

As we entered the dining room area, I led Kinsley over to sit by me. I didn't drop eye contact with Luca as we made our way to the seats. "Good Morning Kinsley!" The boys said, making her smile.

"Yea Good Morning to you guys too." I said, causing them to scoff. "Yea, Morning."

"So, lets chat."
