"I need your help." Noah says as he quickly sits down, Wednesday after school.

"Obviously."

"Hush."

Emma chuckles and looks up at his worried face.

"What's wrong?"

"I need a small, tiny, teensy, little favor."

"How big is it?"

"Small, tiny, teensy, and little."

"I'm having trouble believing you."

He sighs and puts his head in his hands.

"Noah, what's wrong?"

"My family. My mom told me that half of the woman that'll be at the reunion are expecting something from me that I can't give them."

"What is it?"

"A girlfriend."

"Oh? How am I supposed to help with that?"

He groans and lifts his head.

"I need you to pretend to be my girlfriend."

"No."

"Come on, please?" He begs. "You're smart and kind and... good-looking."

"Oh, yeah. Thanks. Noah, I don-"

"Please? I don't know what to do."

"You could just say you don't have a girlfriend."

"I can't do that. I kind of already told them I already have one."

"Oh my god." Emma sighs.

"You'd get to meet my parents."

"And the entirety of your family. I don't know if I can do this."

"Please?" He asks softly. "They'd love you. You're the best choice."

"You know you have a bunch of girls lined up to date you, right?"

"Yeah, and they're extremely annoying."

"Can't argue there."

She goes quiet and he stares at her with pleading eyes. She sighs and squeezes her eyes shut.

"I'll do it on one condition." Opening her eyes.

"Anything." He smiles hopeful.

"I want you to make your friends come to my choir concert. I'm doing a solo and I was gonna invite you anyway."

"You're doing a solo?"

"Yep."

"Dude, that's awesome. Yeah, I'll do it."

"What's the other condition that always comes with being your fake girlfriend?"

"You might have to do it here, too." Noah says shyly.

"There it is." She sighs. "If you go dress shopping with me, so I can look good for your family."

"No."

"Then, no deal."

"Ugh. Fine, fine. I'll go."

They ended up not getting any tutoring done, to distracted to even attempt to focus on that.

Emma and Noah do have to fake date in school. His family might find out that she's a fake if the entire school knows they aren't together.

Guess how long they have to do this?

Two weeks.
