"Fuck this shit, just sign those goddamn papers, I don't have time for this"
He says taking steps back rapidly, walking away.
I am so in a daze, so completely not registering everything that is happening, everything that's been said and done;
The divorce papers, me walking away, Hayden yelling, Hayden confessing, Hayden saying he loves me?
Holy shit.
Hayden said he loves me. Me. He said it himself, he said he loves me!
Tears continue falling the side of my face but for a completely different reason this time.
By the time I realize that I've got to say something to him too, he's walked a considerable distance from me.
"Hayden!" I yell after him, but he doesn't respond; and I've no doubt it's because he can't hear me.
It's raining pretty heavily now, as I struggle to run against the sand.
"Hayden, wait!" I call out after him again, almost loosing my balance for a second there.
"HAYDEN!" I yell as I run with everything that I have. He finally stops this time and slowly turns around. I am sure it's a sight to behold.
Me drenched head-to-toe with the way it's begun to pour, running towards him like a mad woman AND yelling simultaneously.
I finally stop a few inches away from him, trying to catch my breath.
"Y-you can't just walk away after saying something like that!" I exclaim in between shrap intakes of breath.
"You can't say all that and- and just leave!" I emphasize.
He looks away, embarrassed and infuriated with himself.
"Look Avery, just forget I said anything." He says his voice deeper; darker, more desolate.
"Like HELL, I am gonna do that."
"Avery I mean it, forget I said anything at all, get those papers signed- OOOMPH-"
Obviously I cut him off as I launch myself on him, impatiently closing the distance between us as I kiss his stupid, ridiculously perfect, lips off.
It goes on for a little more than half a minute, before he breaks off, pushing me away just a little, as he looks at me with surprise and a visible amount of confusion.
Breathless I look at him. The man of my dreams. Hell, the man beyond anything I could have ever dreamt of.
God, these stupid tears; I've no doubt my nose and cheeks are all red and flushed from the crying and yelling.
He looks at me. Breathless like I was, staring at me with disbelief. His eyes drop to my lips and stays there for a second longer. He looks back at me before his gaze drops to my lips again.
I open my mouth to say something but am cut off before I even begin, as Hayden yanks me by my waist, completely devouring my lips. I gasp at the sudden movement allowing him to deepen the kiss as his arms tighten around my waist and I place my palms on either side of his face.
We finally break away, out of breath, a little doozy and completely drenched, foreheads leaning against each other as we hold onto each other and we stay like that in silence for a while, before I finally bring myself to speak.
"You're not enough?" I say, my voice quiet, barely above a whisper, addressing the last thing he'd yelled out before recoiling back into himself.
I smile softly.
"Hayden"
"You are everything to me."
I lift my head to kiss his forehead, then on either side of his face, and then finally his lips back again.
"Every thing."
My hands drop from his face, to hold his hands in mine, I take a step back and go down on one knee, the silliest, widest of smiles plastered all over my face.
"Avery what are you doing?" He asks with a smile on His face which mirrors my own as he says that.
"You make me happier than I've ever been and make me feel things I never thought I could feel And if you'll have me, Hayden Xavier Knight, I'd like nothing more than to continue being your wife, and spending the rest of my life wondering how could I've ever gotten so lucky with you."
My voice cracks up in the last bit and he sits on his knees too, facing me. I waddle closer to him and he instantly wraps his huge arms around my waist as my own arms circle over his shoulders and around his neck as I speak softly.
"Because I do love you Hayden, I do.
I love you more than I ever thought I could with a love more than what I thought I was capable of."
"You do?" He asks, his voice more vulnerable than ever before.
"I do."
And he smiles a smile so dazzling and so hard, that I can't believe he is all mine.
*****
AND THATS IT!
The final chapter in the story of Hayden and Avery.
I made it EXTRA long and I hope it lived up to your expectations.
I can't honestly describe what it is that I feel writing that this is the very last installation since when I wrote my first chapter and published it.
I remember within the whole of the first month I'd posted like 8 chapters and had gotten only like 33 views.
As I write this authors note right now, we're currently waving on 37.1 k; more reads than what I ever thought my story could get.
So thank you, to each and everyone of you.
Like always, please don't hold back from voting, commenting or just texting me, letting me know your feelings and thoughts regarding all of this.
Thank you for your patience with me, this whole time.
You've no idea in how many different ways y'all have saved me.
Love always
