"Finally," she dramatically exhaled, accepting Muri's sweet kiss to her cheek before she sat across from her. "You're lucky the waiter hasn't made her rounds to our table yet—I was dead ass about to order without you."

"No you weren't," Muri giggled, placing her purse beside her. "You knew my regular order because we're always here."

"Amnesia was going to be my middle name."

They both chuckled.

"So how's the day for you? You were off today too?" Muri crossed her arms, leaning into the table.

Lily finished tapping on her phone before finally sitting it on the table. Muri raised her eyebrow in curiosity.

"Who's got you so stuck in that phone? Back in the day, it'd be you telling me to get off of mine."

She instantly blushed refusing to answer. Muri's curiousity heightened as she studied her best friends mannerisms. Tinted red cheeks, trembling fingers, pursed lips, hooded eyes. She recognized that look from anywhere.

Lily caught her look of realization and quickly shook her head. "No, don't. We're not talking about it here."

Muri smirked anyway. "Lily's got a booyfriend."

She started to tease her, reaching over the table to grab at her hands to which Lily embarrassedly pried her fingers away. People nearby were starting to look their way and smile, unable to find themselves being annoyed at Muri's child-like antics. Lily hated the attention, so after a while she softly and firmly told her to stop, and that she would tell her after their meal.

Just as Muri decided to let it be for the time being, their food and drinks were being served. The waiter sat a hot and ready plate of grilled chicken, rice, and asparagus along with a cold glass of sparkling water in front of Muri, and a plate of caesar salad with breadsticks in front of Lily.

A smile graced her face as she picked up her phone to photograph her meal, to add to the cozy aesthetics of her Instagram account, along with a picture of Lily with her meal. Lily smiled widely with her fork in her hand as Muri giggled and took the picture, shortly sending it to her social media.

After saying grace, they dug in and discussed the rest of their plans for the day as well as what they planned to do tomorrow since coincidently, they were off of work once again.

Lily was more of a wildfire than Muri so she wasn't surprised when she bought up wanting to attend a party tomorrow. One of her coworkers were hosting a cocktail day party out in the Hills and both of them were formally invited.

Muri originally wanted to stay inside and catch up on some rest but she couldn't pass up another fun event. Plus it gave her a chance to finally use Flickr after being away from it for two weeks.

Her time away from the hook up app wasn't intentional—she had just been so busy with her job that she didn't have the time to log back in and find potential one night stands. Although Lily understood when she told her reasonings, she couldn't help but smirk because she had a gut feeling that it was something else.

She couldn't have forgotten her quick sex session at the club a few weeks ago. For a while that was all she could think about. His fingertips gripping her skin dominantly, his teeth biting into her neck, his soft lips on hers—how could she forget? It was one of, if not the best, nights of her life. And as much as she wanted to surpress it, Muri wanted to feel that kind of high again.

They finished up their lunch, deciding to share a small serving of watermelon flavored Italian Ice before splitting the bill and leaving.

Lily walked Muri to her car, telling her all about the man she also spent her night with when they were at the club. It was a rare sighting but Muribella knew that her friend was already deeply smitten and intrigued with him. Muri was genuinely happy for her.

"And we've just been talking nonstop once I remembered his number," Lily hooked their arms as they walked. "He thought I cut him off or something"she giggled. "He's cute."

"All I hear are wedding bells already." Muri teased and nudged her friend.

Lily softly rolled her eyes still with a soft tint of red on her cheeks. "Whatever! He does seem nice, Muri, but you know I can't be in a relationship right now."

"You being busy with work has nothing to do with that, Lily." Lily swiftly looked off to the side. "You need to—"

"Don't say it," Lily sighed softly. They finally reached Muri's car. She leaned against the back door while Muri unlocked the driver's side to get in.

"I won't," Muri smiled gently and grabbed her friend's hand. "But I want you to open back up to the idea of love. I know how you felt, I was there, but you'll miss out on such a great feeling from the right person if you shut down completely."

Before she could speak Muri pulled her in for a hug and kissed her cheek. "Text me about the party, okay?"

"I will, drive safe. Love you." Lily pushed her hair behind her ear. She watched as Muri started up her car.

Before she could completely drive off, Lily tapped on the window softly. Once Muri rolled them down she smiled and said;

"Take your own advice babe."

Muri playfully rolled her eyes. "I don't use Flickr just for sex you know."

"Could've fooled me."

"Whatever!" They laughed. "Bye babe!"

She blew kisses while backing out of her parking spot. As she drove away, she honked her horn and waved while Lily did the same.

The drive back to her home was a short one but Muri couldn't help but let the short flashes of that night at the club fill her mind. It was safe to say that she was intrigued.. too intrigued for her own good.
