5+1 (Hug)

His brother has been looking for him and waiting.

Vetri reads the notes and it's like a mini journal, Maaran was trying to trace his pattern by collecting past information. He sees multiple known locations scratched out and also a few notes written in bold caps, one of them says, "THE POLICE ARE CATCHING UP, HURRY!"

There are so many more like this but the one that catches his attention the most is something that is scribbled at the end of a paper, almost invisible, it says, "I shouldn't have let him go"

A part of Vetri feels overwhelmed but mostly he just feels loved, no one had ever put in this much effort in him, maybe not even Vadivu.

As he is sitting there holding all these papers, Vetri realises, he should have hugged his brother the moment he opened that door.

Somehow, the next day, Vetri can't bring himself to do it. Maybe it's the guilt of bringing him into all of this or the intention to keep him pure from this darkness.

So, he eats, he keeps up with his brother's disguised fussing, he chats with Vadivu and Tara, flirts with Amma, has some fun and when they are all sleeping in the night.

He writes a note saying that him staying here would be dangerous and leaves.

Miles away, he wishes he and given that hug, also wishes that he had more than a stash of cup noodles and one leather jacket and also realises that he called Maaran anna that night!!!

Maaran has been kidnapped before, if getting slapped in the face, being stored in a huge godown and being mildly high the entire time counts as being kidnapped... Then, yes... He has been kidnapped.

So, the second time he finds it all pretty unoriginal, he almost expects it to be Vetri on the other side.

But it isn't... It is some guy in a ski mask and he is also drugging him. Great! How very original!

The drug is concerning though cause this guy is clearly an amateur and Maaran doesn't just feel numb he is going numb. Which, according to doctor's terms is mildly concerning? *(it's not)

Maaran might have been slightly new to kidnaps but what he was very used to was, threats.

So, when his kidnapper opened his mouth and started giving the most clichéd and stereotyped speech ever, he groaned, loudly.

This made the kidnapper punch him in the nose and go, "where is your brother Maaran?"

And there it is, the question that Maaran didn't want him to ask. Not because he would have to tell him the answer, but he himself didn't know it. It's been six months since he has seen Vetri or heard anything from him or about him. Maaran doesn't blame him *(he does) but  he tended to get worried sometimes.

So, Maaran as any good kidnapped person, says, "Why should I tell you?" *(Really Maaran?)

The kidnapper leans forward goes, "I will kill you if you won't!"

Maaran rolls his eyes and says, "well go ahead, if you can!"

The kidnapper startles and then says, "You have a big mouth... I need you alive to lure your brother, so, I can't" kill you... But I can hurt you."
