The hardest goodbye

Chloe answered the door to her manhattan apartment and looked to see derek and smiled. She could tell that he had been crying something was up

"Can I come in? I need to talk to you" derek said as Chloe looked to him and smiled

"Of course" Chloe said as he walked into the appointment. She looked to see how shifty they he was being and frowned

"Derek what is going on?" She asked as he placed a hand on her cheek and kissed her and smiled

"You know that I Care for you Chloe. I do what we had was something special" he said as she looked to him and frowned

"Was? What are you ending it?" She asked as he sighed.

She looked to him as he stood pacing the room

"I got a job offer in Seattle" derek said as she looked to him

"And your taking it" Chloe asked as he smiled

"I am" he said as Chloe frowned. She didn't understand it all. She knew how it was a mess and it didn't make sense

"So what you and my mother are taking off to Seattle for a new Cory to be hot shot doctors and what so she can leave her daughters behind so you can leave your practice. Your friends and your family" Chloe asked

"No. Addison isn't coming it's just me" he said as she looked to him

"What happened. Your leaving my mother behind why?" She asked as he sighed. He ran a hand through his messy hair and looked to her

He walked over to her and kissed her passionately

"I found Addison in bed with mark an hour ago. She had been cheating on me. I'm sorry Chloe I have to leave. I have to leave you behind and I'm sorry. What we had was great and I'm sorry" he said

Chloe looked to him with tears in her eyes "please don't do this derek. You don't have to go" Chloe said. She could feel the tears roll down her face.

"I'm sorry Chloe I have. What we had was great it was amazing and I don't regret it. What we had of leant a lot to me but I can't stay here and I can't see them. I can't see either of them after what they had done. I'm sorry that things have to be like this" he said

Chloe looked to him as he wiped the tears from her face as he leant in and kissed her passionately.

Chloe watched as he waled out of the apartment. She stood on her doorstep and watched as he got in the car and waved to her one last time before he drove away leaving Chloe feeling heartbroken

Two weeks later

Chloe walked into the bathroom and sighed. She felt terrible and she had been feeling terrible ever since derek had left and she hated it. She hated how good that things were and she hated they because of what her mother had done.

Derek had left and she hated it. She hated addison for what she said but she knew they she couldn't say that to addison as she knew that she would have to explain why and she would have to explain how they were hooking up on the side

Chloe hated how complicated that things were and she hated how strained her relationship was with her mother because of it

Chloe walked over to the sink and picked up the pregnant test that was on the side. She knew that she was late and she knew how she and derek weren't careful and she was scared. Chloe was scared that she could be pregnant and she didn't know what to do
