Love or unlove me,
Unknow me or know,
I am that which unloves me and loves;
I am stricken, and I am the blow.

Hogwarts seemed darker. More morbid. As though in her absence something wretched had twisted its branches and roots into the castle's very foundation. The wind was on the withered heath. . .
Or maybe that was just what had happened to her.
But in the forest stirred no leaf. . .
It came in and out of focus, a bright leading beacon in the dark.
Into focus.
Harry was somewhere in there.
Out of focus.
There shadows lay by night and day. . .
Aurora's limbs felt heavy.
And dark things silent crept beneath. . .
A few moments after her feet touched land he was there, blocking her view. Bright, bold and familiar. He landed in front of her, cutting a menacing figure in the dark of the night. Her head was underwater. Aurora was drowning.
His lips moved. He was saying something.
Something. . .
Something. . .
He was coming closer. Run Birdie run.
He was coming closer, saying something.
"Rora. . ."
Run Birdie, run.
"Rora. . ."
"Aurora!"
Her ears popped. Aurora blinked and the world shifted.
"Alyosha," she breathed.
Her fellow Harpy's face was unreadable, steely eyes scrutinizing her. She felt bare under his sharp gaze. "You're back," said Alyosha.
