Dear Santiago,
I couldn't sleep. Not after the nightmare. I prayed two rakats and asked for Allah's guidance.
It's 11:00 am. The house was extraordinarily quiet. Baba was at work. Mama was in her room, and Yusuf was knocked out cold.
Sadiya, my stepmother was in her house. I could hear the sound of the tv playing. I could tell she was watching a Korean film.
Santiago, I have decided to inform Yusrah of the situation I'm in.
Who knew? She would help me out.
Good night.
Your scared (yet strong) friend,
Amal.
