"Are You Akumatized?"

Word Count: 806

I ran along the roofs, fleeing from the stranger following me.

Fuck. I don't know how to fight super villains.

I jumped off the roof and ran along the streets, weaving around cars. A few drivers lazily honked at me as I darted along the cobblestone. The figure kept following, holding out a weapon.

Is that a pole? Who walks around with a pole? If he hits me with that...

I jumped on top of cars and ran into an alley. The stranger followed, huffing for breath. I bounded on another roof and kept running, my hair bouncing with every step.

I can't keep running. I need a plan.

I jumped on a roof and hid, catching my breath.

I think I lost him. Who was that?

The stranger leaped out of nowhere, pouncing on me. His clawed hands pinned me to the rooftop. He was wearing a skintight black catsuit with a belt tail. A gold bell hung from the collar of his leather suit. Cat ears peeked out of his fluffy blonde hair. His green eyes glowed in the dark, hidden by a black mask.

"Are you akumatized?" He asked, looking into my (e/c )eyes.

"Wouldn't you like to know," I replied, rolling my eyes. I threw him off me. "Get–ugh—-off!"

I grabbed my flute from my back, brandishing it. He blinked in surprise, then smirked, brandishing his pole. We stared at each other, facing off. Then I ran, strapping my flute to my back again. Naturally, he followed.

"Stop following me!" I yelled over my shoulder, vaulting a chimney.

"Can't do that!" He insisted, running faster. He threw his pole and tripped me. I slipped over the roof, hanging by my fingertips. I dangled over speeding cars, my hair blowing in the wind. "I can't let you destroy Paris!"

The stranger jumped into a crouch. He placed his pole under my chin and used it to lift my head up. He placed his fingers over mine. His piercing green eyes stared into my e/c ones.

"Who said I was destroying Paris?" I retorted, staring defiantly. I struggled to lift myself up.

I'll kick his face if he doesn't quit it, I swear to—-

"You're not?" He blinked. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"No! You're the one just... stalking me," I corrected, looking up at him.

"I don't know about stalking exactly," he smirked, leaning in. "You're exactly not in a bargaining position."

Well that's an impressive shit-eating grin.

I used my legs to gain momentum and swung back and forth from my ledge. I let go of the sill, grabbed on again and jumped backwards on the roof, taking him out with my flute. In the same motion, I straddled and pinned him to the ground, resting an arm by his head.

"Wanna bet?" I murmured, leaning in. He stared at me, his eyes sliding to my lips.

"Hey, I haven't introduced myself," he said, tearing his eyes from my lips. I slid off him, standing up and pulling him to his feet. "I'm Chat Noir, but you can call me whatever you want."

He bowed low and grabbed my hand, kissing it. He smiled cheekily, winking at me.

"Whoa, kitty, kitty!" I blushed slightly, but gently pushed his hand away.

"Who are you," he asked, trying to stare through my mask. I opened my mouth to answer and my necklace started beeping. A section of the charm stopped glowing, leaving only five more.
"It does that when I'm about to transform back, right?" I said, not answering him.

"True, but—"

"Silly kitty," I said, laughing slightly. I tapped his nose before turning around. "I have to go before I transform back. I'll see you around."

I sprang off the roof, running until I couldn't see him anymore. I looked back, checking he wasn't following again.

Ok, good. Coast is clear.

I ran a fake route to make sure and then doubled back to my house. I jumped on the sill, opened my window and jumped through, landing in a pose.

Huh, still no Trixx.

I closed the window, sat on my bed and immediately de-transformed. Trixx fell out of my necklace. I cupped my hands, catching her in my palms as a reflex.

"Trixx! You were in my necklace the whole time?"

"I didn't tell you that?" She whispered weakly.

"That and there was a cat boy furry."

"Well, maybe there were some things I left out, but I swear I wasn't doing it on purpose! I forgot! Also, I'm hungry!" The fox kwami exclaimed, looking excitedly at the box of macaroons.

Trixx zipped over to the box, wolfing down one of the little pink cookies.

"Fine, but explain everything," I sighed.

"Macaroons first!" Trixx perched on top of a pink macaroon, hugging it.
