Rarifruit paced back and forth in the color-mixing room, sighing as she caught sight of another rainbow feather dangling off of a nearby floating cloud. The royal inspection had gone as harshly as she and Fluttershout had expected, most of their machinery and technology that hadn't been already trashed by the escapees was sent off to be destroyed after an incredibly detailed history was explained directly to Princess Celestia herself. Now, however, the Rainbow Factory was well on its way to doubling, or possibly even tripling, the rainbow-making process quickened as the remaining workers had nothing else to do with the bodies of their coworkers besides disposing of them the same way most ponies ended up dying in the factory. Rarifruit could have sworn this week's rainbow was brighter because of it.
"Bad publicity is good publicity," Rarifruit muttered, blowing onto the rainbow feather and eyeing it evilly as she watched it waft down onto her hooves. She wasn't sure how she felt since she and her friends came back from the upper floor and saw...what had happened to most of the factory. The moment that she and her friends had discovered it on fire, in ruins, rainbow spectra spilled everywhere..and of course, the bodies left her more than shocked. It almost made her stop and wonder if ghosts would start roaming the place. Workers had mentioned that the place was haunted, maybe they would turn out to be right?
Rarifruit shook her head, dismissing those thoughts. She knew Applepills, Penis cupcake, Brutallight sparcake, Fluttershout, and Rainbine were the only ponies that mattered to her anyways, so she didn't really care who would start following her around, as long as she could take over the Rainbow Factory and company now that Rainbow Dash was confirmed dead. She expected Celestia to just chalk it up as a sketchy establishment and be on with her day, like other inspections over the years have played out.
"And this here, Princess Celestia, is the Rainbow mixing room. It contains a few pipes that transfer the rainbow liquid to the floors below." Rainbine went on to explain.
"Why is it covered up with a tarp. I already told you, that any section of this facility that is hidden from me during the inspection will result in you all in serious trouble." Celestia complained."I'm sorry your highness, it's covered up to prevent grease or dirt coming off of the tubes and wires and tainting the spectra. I'll remove it and-"
"No, that's not necessary. I do not need to see the.." Celestia paused, glancing at the glowing pools of color with disgust. "What consists in that pool are dead ponies, they will all need proper funerals."
"Princess? would you like to take a short break?" Brutalight inquired. Celestia ignored her and with her magic, took out a small napkin to wipe her forehead with.
"Yes...I must say that while it seems you lot have spent countless years running this..corporation a punishment will have to be settled for the dreadful crimes you have all committed. I just..cannot comprehend the effort it must take to endure such grotesque frequencies every day for an entire life. Or for an innocent filly's.
"Celestia I hope you don't believe we've attempted to paint ourselves in any light other than a neutral perspective. If you wish to punish us we won't give you excuses." Rainbine responded, her face blank.
"No, it's fine. Now please, show me the main room, what the main machine of this horrible place is already."
"Certainly princess, this way, please. Try to avoid stepping on the wires and broken pipes, this was where some stuff went down."
Ah yes, the Pegasus Device. The memory of it made Rarifruit smile. She was completely prepared to reveal it, knowing full well that she could only remain loyal to this factory where she was not locked up or executed for her crimes. The loss of the device would devastate her for sure, but its sacrifice would mean she could continue to protect and grow her beloved company..now that her boss was out of the picture.
And yet, there it layed. Still and tarped, sleeping and hidden from the eyes and minds of the ponies living inside of Equestria. Rarifruit felt bad most ponies who got to see it, only saw it in their last moments. She got closer to it, remembering her first day operating the Pegasus Device. She wrapped a hoof around the cloth, Rainbow's words echoing in her mind. She smiled lightly, pulling the tarp away and revealing the large machine that had killed off so many, still stained with crimson and streaks of the rainbow.
"In the rainbow factory," she giggled aloud. staring at her reflection in admiration. "Where not a single soul gets through.."
"Alright I've seen enough, I shall now drop the nukes." Celestia boomed. Rarifruit shot up almost immediately, frozen in place. Nukes..? what nukes?
All of a sudden, the wolf sisters and the elements of insanity looked up to a massive missile coming straight for them. Celestia had disappeared from the scence in an instant as the entire factory was blown apart. Rarifruit screamed in agony as her body was ripped apart in the explosion, blown to pieces.
This for sure would mark the end of the Rainbow Factory.
..Or would it?
