I Changed My Mind

Li P.O.V

"Are you sure your group members are gonna be ok with me coming to studio with you?" Jamal asked me.

"Ti and Ro?" I asked.

He nodded.

"Oh, yea." I said certain. I turned into the parking lot of the studio.

"Ok."

I searched for a parking spot towards the other end of the parking lot. I don't really like when people park close to me, and a lot of people don't park at back, so those are the best spots.

I parked my jeep in the very last row, then grabbed my bag. "C'mon."

Jamal and I got out of the vehicle. I locked the doors of my jeep, then we walked inside.

We walked down the hall.

"Man." Jamal said looking through a backpack he brought with him.

I looked back at him. "What?"

"This place." He pulled out a camera and started taking pictures.

I continued walking. When we reached the room that my group members and I record in, I opened the door.

"Hey y'all." I said over the music.

Dallas threw his hand up as he listened to the track.

"Hey, Lisa." Ro said.

I sat down on the couch that was in the room. Jamal sat next to me.

"Is this your friend?" Ro asked.

"Oh, yea. Sorry. Ro, this is Jamal. Jamal, this is Rozonda."

Ro cleared her throat.

"I mean this is Chilli, a.k.a. Ro."

"Hi." Ro shook Jamal's hand.

"Hello." Jamal responded.

"And that's Dallas." I added.

Dallas, again, threw his hand up.

I looked around the room. "Where's Ti?"

"She went to call Dalvin." Ro answered.

"Oh, yea. Today's their anniversary, right?" I remembered.

"Yea."

Ti walked in the room.

"Hey, Ti." I greeted her.

"Hey." She responded stuffing her phone in her pocket.

"You reach him?" Ro asked Ti.

"Nah, but I'll try again later if he doesn't call back."

Ti turned and looked at Jamal. "Umm, who is this?"

"That's Jamal." I said.

"Oh. So this is the guy that called you that one day?" Ti asked.

"Yea."

"Nice to meet ya." She shook his hand.

"You too." Jamal responded.

"Ya know you're lucky, Jamal." Ro said.

"Why?" He asked.

"Yea, why?" I asked curiously to see where she's headed with this.

"Lisa doesn't bring anyone around us unless he's really special." Ti finished Ro's thought.

Ti and Ro started laughing and hi-fived each other.

"They're lying. I don't bring anyone around them because they don't know how to act." I looked at them.
