It's funny how everything can change in the blink of an eye. One second you're having dinner with your family, laughing and having a good time. The next you're sitting in a police station being questioned about your family's muder. Funny how life works, isn't it? This shouldn't of happened like this. I'm only 17 years old. I watched my family being murdered right in front of me and I couldn't do anything to stop it. The last thing my mother said to me was "run" but I stayed. I was frozen, numb.

It was then I decided I needed a change. A chance to start over and have a normal life. Child Services had arranged for me to move in with my aunt, my mother's sister, who lived thousands of miles away in England. I wasn't keen on the idea of living with someone I had never met but she had written me a letter, consisting of 5 pages telling me about herself and her life over seas. Two months of paper work and packing my life into boxes, I was ready. Although a little skeptical, I was ready for this. I planned on going to college and having a life, putting my past behind me. It's what my parents would of wanted.

This is my new start, my second chance at life with a family.
