14 - Not Alone Pt. 2

Start from the beginning

"Sarv? Are you- woah, you're flying!" Hex gaped in awe as Sarv now had wings, horns, a tail...everything a demon had.

"You're actually the devil!?" Her girlfriend shrieked in surprise.

"Sorry I didn't tell you sooner, but I'll save the explanation for later." Sarv gave her a smile and left for battle.

. . .

Ruv's Point Of View

When I stood back up, I pushed my fists away from my body with as much force as I could summon. Parts of the rope snapped and fell to my feet.

"Pushing that aside, shouldn't you be focusing on me, your dead father's worst enemy? The one that dumped your mother and only cared for himself?" I sneered.

Looking into Angel's eyes, I could almost hear her anger boiling her mind.

"..."

"YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!"

She stamped her foot and began singing loud and clear. Jeez, she's got some daddy issues. That piece of crap probably left her to thrive on the streets as a kid.

"I bet you don't even know his name!" I yelled as I sang back, rapid drumbeats clashing with her fast melody.

"TELL ME YOU LITTLE-!"

"He doesn't have one."

Angel stopped for a moment, and I sung a note that reverberated through the ground and made the gang leader lose balance.

She jumped up, her hair covering her pale and clearly maddened face. She took a step closer, and I froze.

"Notice anything different yet?" She quietly said.

A loud ringing echoed in my ears. I couldn't hear myself speak as I felt flashes of pain in my throat.

"W-what did y-ou-"

"A special invention of mine. It finally initiated." Angel walked over, smiling.

I groaned and collapsed onto the ground, more blood spilling from my open wounds.

"Aw, lost hope already? Guess all that running ended up being a waste, huh?"

"J-just take me!" I responded with gritted teeth.

"My, you've grown feistier since I last saw you. Alright boys, tie him up again. This time don't let him escape."

Two men appeared out of thin air and grabbed me harshly, my body dragging on the floor. While they were simultaneously being scolded by Angel, I knew I had a chance.

I screamed as loud as I could. The men yelped in surprise and released me to cover their ears, which were probably ringing worse than mine.

Angel even cowered. She was being too gentle. I coughed up more blood and said to her, "You do realize I'm not your enemy, right?"

"But you are my enemy...my father's left me to handle you!" Angel croaked, shocked with my question.

"You don't have to follow that man's footsteps. He wasn't any good. Worse than me, I'd say."

What am I saying? Has staying with Whitty, Hex, and Carol softened me up that much?

I looked up at Angel to see that she was actually considering it, but she then shook her head.

"I chose to do this. You don't tell me what to do."

She ran and aimed the sickle at my heart. Before she could end my life, two voices jumped out from the dark from two different places.

"Surprise bitch!" A very familiar voice said in unison with "Beep bedoop!"

Caught off guard, Angel diverted her attention from me to the three figures up ahead. "Who are you!?"

"Ruv's friends. If you mess with him, you mess with us." My boyfriend said as he ran towards me. "You okay?" He lifted my head and placed it on his lap.

"Y-yeah." I rolled my head to the side as blood threatened to come out of my mouth. "Help th-them." I weakly pointed to Boyfriend and Girlfriend, who were starting to sing. "You didn't see this coming, did you?" Girlfriend grinned. The blue-haired kid attacked Angel with every line he sang.

"Ugh, what a nuisance!" Angel cried and sang faster.

"If you say so. You can get up, right? I'll signal you to come over to deliver the final blow." Whitty smiled slightly.

I staggered and stood up, my hands on my knees. "Yes, do that."

Whitty ruffled my hair and ran off to join the intense singing.

"You will not take a step closer to Ruv anymore!" The bomb yelled at Angel.

"Oh, and what if I do?" Angel stepped backwards, smirking.

"You're definitely not coming out of this facility alive, you criminal freak."

"Ruvyzvat, your boyfriend is so amusing!"

"Shut the fuck up!" Whitty sang louder, and Boyfriend created a harmony with him.

The singing battle seemed to drag on for ages, and the gashes on my body stopped bleeding. I was holding my left arm, tying my jacket around it.

At last, I heard a thud, and I glanced over. Angel was about to be defeated. Whitty looked over and motioned me to come. Good thing I was listening to the music. I ran to my friends and sung the final lines, Angel rendering useless.

"I gave you a chance, Angel. Why didn't you take it?" I towered over her. I felt sorrow and pity build up deep in my heart.

But Angel didn't answer.

I punched her hard with my right hand. The sound of a crack can be heard.

"Sorry, Father..."

It was a fatal blow.

"You did it!" Boyfriend said (translated from 'Bo Boop Bee!').

Whitty put his arms around my bare shoulders as I examined Angel's body.

"I'm sorry it had to end this way." I mutter. It was my first time apologizing to someone I intended to kill.

"It's okay, Ruv. She deserved it." I turned around and saw Whitty, his kind face smiling. I blushed and noticed him looking at my arms.

"This is my first time seeing you without your jacket." Whitty chuckled. "Damn, didn't know you were this hot."

My blush deepened and I hugged him out of pity and embarrassment. When I let go, I said,

"This is my final victim."
