POV Emma:
It was time. Even though I could hardly believe it, I was standing at the altar, across from the man I loved. "And do you, Emma Swan, take Killian Jones to be your husband?", Archie asked me. For a brief moment, I paused. My gaze escaped to Regina. She reached for Henry's hand and nodded at me with a barely noticeable smile.
It's okay. Be happy, even if it's not with me.
Flashback
You could almost say that I was glad when Regina and Zelena burst into my mother's and my discussion. Sooner or later I would have to explain to her why I didn't want to rush into the wedding, but at least not now. Regina was about to say something about the Evil Queen when Zelena grabbed my hand. "Is that an engagement ring?" she asked, slightly surprised. "Oh, yes. Hook proposed," I replied, smiling happily. "Emma!" exclaimed Regina. Our eyes met. "I'm so happy for you! I really am."
"My superpower may not be perfect, but with you Regina, I always know when you're lying."
And that was the moment I realized it. Somehow I had always known, but it never got through to me. "Thanks, that means a lot to me," I mumbled and hugged her. I knew Regina would understand what I was actually trying to say.
"You can lie to your parents, you can lie to yourself, but you can't lie to me."
It had never taken us more than glances. They had been enough to let the other know what we felt. Regina and I were connected by more than friendship. My love for Killian was sincere, but I had never stopped feeling something for Regina. And she had always felt something for me. But we both had always known that it wouldn't work. The Savior and the Evil Queen...
Flashback end
"I do," I replied after turning my gaze back to Killian. Even though I had just committed to him for my entire life, I knew that a part of me would always love Regina. And no dark curse in all the realms would be able to change that.
