Chapter Two

Once I got home mom and Betty were bickering about Fp being innocent and shit like that so I went to shower. "We're having guests over so put your dress on since your going to the dance after." I heard mom yell. "I will I yelled back and shower putting on a beautiful black dress. Then doing my hair and putting on my heels not bothering with putting makeup on. "Hey, it's time to come down there here." Betty said. "Ok, I'm coming." I said and followed her letting her have her moment first since she looked better than me. "Ok, Y/n come down so we can see how beautiful you are." Mom said. I walked down once mom saw me her smile never faded. "Wow." Jughead said. "You look beautiful." Mom said taking a picture. We made small talk and then sat down to eat. But I'm not that hungry.

"So Fp, Betty tells me that your working for Fread Andrews now how do you balance that with all the rest of your responsibly?" Asked mom. "Well like being a father?" And being a part of the southside community." I lifted my head to glare at her because I knew what she was doing. "Mom." Betty said. "Well, you can say southside serpent I'm not ashamed it's not just me it's a bunch of them working on Freads sight." Fp says. "So if you don't mind me asking I'm just curious how did you make  a living before that?" "I scraped by odd jobs." He said. "I know that you worked for the drive-in, Jughead before it was closed..did you find work there, too Fp?" Mom asked.

"Dad." Jug said. "Well, I hung out a bit what can I say I'm a movie buff." We all laugh a little. "So, tell me were you upset when Hiram Lodge brought the drive-in land?" She asked. "Stuff happens." Fp says. "Let me rephrase that question were you surprised?"  She asked. Everyone went silent when the doorbell rang. "I'll get it." Betty says jumping up and getting the door. "Hi." "Hey." We heard from the door and walks in with dad. Mom rolled her eyes and let out a big sigh. "I thought you said she wanted me to be here?" He asked. "She does." Betty tells him as Jug and Fp stands up. "I mean it is homecoming after all and our families should be coming together right mom?" She asked. She just smiled and gestured for him to sit down which he did. 

"Hi, Y/n you look nice." He said. "Thanks, dad." I smiled and my eyes went back to my plate moving the food around with my fork. "Arent you going to eat?" Asked mom which now had everyone's eyes on me I thought she was going to be too busy to notice I was even here since all she wanted to do was ask a bunch of questions. "I'm not hungry." I said. "How, you didn't eat lunch." Jughead said. "Or breakfast and I don't even think you had a snack." Betty said. It pissed me off when she says stuff about me not eating I just wasn't hungry its normal why can't they just leave me alone about it. "Why didn't  you eat today?" Dad asked. "Because I wasn't hungry." I told him. "Well, then you should eat." Mom told me. The more they spoke the more pissed off I was because now everyone is worried about me and staring at me with worry written fallout their faces. "Come on Hunny you need to eat." Dad says. "OH MY GOD JUST DROP IT I'M NOT HUNGRY OK SO LEAVE ME ALONE ALREADY." I yelled slamming my hands on the table and standing up at the same time.

I grabbed my phone off the table and looked at all the shocked faces around me then stormed out the door. I walked to the dance sitting on the sidewalk before being on school property. 30 minutes later I seen Fp's truck drive by then 10 minutes later back the opposite way but stops when he sees me. "Hey, princess why aren't you at the dance?" He asked. I tried not to show my face since I was blushing at the new nickname. "I needed some space from people right now." I said. "I get that, so are you alright?" He asked. "I'm fine." I lied. "Ok well, you go to that dance and have fun also you look good." He told me and smerked. I smiled at him thanking him then when he drove away I went to the school to find Betty, Veronica, and Archie fighting about Fp's trailer and mom. As I walk more toward them Jughead comes out then they start fighting as well. By the time I made it over there all the parents and some of our friends running to us. 

 "Betty Y/n oh thank god." Mom said. "Mom don't." Betty started. "No, you have to listen all of you." She said. "My dad just told Mayor McCoy about your dad, Jughead." Kevin said making us look at them confused. "What about my dad?" Jug asked. "He was just arrested for the murder of Jason Blossom." Fread said. What no there no way. Is that the reason he looked guilty the other day? I felt so for Jughead he believed him. Me, V, B, and Archie followed JUghead as he walked out of the school running away. I followed only getting so far then went home since he probably wants space anyways. I layed listening to Betty and mom fight over what happened. Betty asked if I wanted to help find Jug which I did and went to find him.

We went to Pops looking for Jug and then found Archie and Veronica who told us that the lockbox in Fp's trailer that had the gun in it that was used to kill Jason was planted thereafter they had left. They were framing him. Then we went to the Andrews with our parents to talk to them about it. I sat in my room that night not being able to sleep. I heard Betty about leave so I followed her. She was leaving to hind Jug with Archie so I went to help. We went to the bud stain but it was closed. "From what he said in the hall he wanted to get to his mom in Ohio." Archie said. "Anything?" He asked. "No." I said. "Maybe his phone died." He said. "Or maybe, the only friends he has just completely betrayed him." Betty said. Archies phone started to ring and he pulled it out of his pocket as fast as he could. I got a little hope but not a lot. 

But it wasn't him it was Veronica. I sighed and decided to text him one more time. We went back to Pop's to find Jug there sitting by herself. We talked and told him about the gun. We ran to the police station and asked to speak to Mr. Keller. "We need to talk to you about Fp."  Said Veronica. "What about him?" He asked. "He's innocent." I told him. "He's being framed." Veronica said. "Then why did e just confess?"  Asked the sheriff. Then Fp passed looking at Jug for a sec then Keller walked away following him. We left and I didn't sleep at all. We sat at lunch as everyone talked. Then Jughead walked in and to Cheryl. He apologized and she slapped him and started hitting him. He stood there and took it then the principal took him to the office. He didn't do anything.

God this week couldn't get any worse. Not only did I find my best friend's dad hot he's now in jail and I can't do anything for Jug. After school, all I did was lay in bed thinking about everything that's happened. I had just talked to him. That night I was laying in bed tossing and turning. I heard a noise and went to see what it was when I seen that Betty was doing the same. We walked down the stairs together only to bum into mom with a gun. "Did you hear that?" Betty whispered. "Shh." Mom hushed her. "Mom what are you doing with that?" I asked. "Get behind me be ready to dial 911." Mom whispered. We followed behind her down to where dad sometimes went to watch TV. When we get there he was going through papers. What the fuck. He sat us down and told us how he took Kelers files. Then soon rushing to go get Polly.
