We all gather around the table leaving our worries though the window
All other things faded away, what consumed us, was the smiles and food before us
Nothing else mattered only family did
We dined and laugh and left reality to mellow
All gloomy weather, all stormy sight, all nightmares
Where none existent at the time
What filled out hearts with joy were each other
The moment that last a while
But keeps us grinning a lot
We decided to face reality later
Battle our demons in close doors
Battle our fears alone
Bottle all the pain
We came to our safe haven
Under the comfort of home
The smiles of familiar faces
That wouldn't judge us
But accepted us for all we were
And what we were going through
Nothing mattered at all
At the present
Only family.....
Could make our hearts sing with joy
