Hey fellow introverts I missed you all so much! This book has kind of been forgotten about sadly. :( I do enjoy writing in this book. I feel like this short little blurbs of story, poem, or whatever I can really speak to you guys and show you guys my full potential and enjoyment for writing. I wrote the little thing a while ago but never really typed it up thinking you guys wouldn't care for it that much. It is mainly about what you can do for yourself to make your life worth living. Here it is guys:
The Flannel Factor
Think of a time when you have been uncomfortable. Maybe a friend was forcing you to do something stupid, or maybe you were at the peak of a rollercoaster anticipating the drop. There is this human quality special to everyone and that is comfort. Comfort makes us who we are. They create each of us into the different people we chose to be. This quality, comfort, gives us the ability to choose right from wrong, likes from dislikes, and decides our future. You may be wondering how such a little quality can have such a large affect on us as people. Listen closely then.
I am an introvert as you may read from many places on this app we all favor. I have certain preferences in my love the define me. I prefer the philosophical way of thinking; I am interested in mostly art, books, and music. I am terrified of just about everything to do with human contact (includes socializing, being touched or hugged, etc.). I also cannot stand the oblivious human beings that cannot think for themselves. This is what separates me from you. You may be the complete opposite, and that is ok as long as you are COMFORTABLE!
I have experienced uncomfortable situations many times. I am a very keep to myself type of person. I do not talk much in my classes and I do not take charge. Once in a while I get a fellow peer ask me to do something: talk! "Maybe you should talk more," "why are you always so quiet," "speak up I didn't hear you," these are all examples of what I hear on a daily basis, but the truth is I like being silent. I do not enjoy being center of attention or being talked about. It makes me UNCOMFORTABLE!
Now that you heard what I go through I would like to share something else: be yourself. Do not give in to the crowd and be your own person. Yes you may be the quiet kid in the corner, the shy kid waiting for your friends to get off of the crazy rollercoaster, or the kid that buys tickets to go see the newest Disney movie instead of Poltergeist. Do not be afraid to share your opinions. Stay strong.
I propose to you my newest invention: The Flannel Factor. A cotton, comfortable flannel shirt; it can be buttoned or not with a tank top underneath. Take that flannel shirt and apply it to your daily life.
"Jenny, do you have something to share with the class?" (PUTS ON IMAGINERY FLANNEL) (FEELS THE COMFORT) (BREATHES) (SPEAKS)
"I do not comfortable with sharing," and now everything is chilled.
We all can use our flannels to save ourselves. We do not have to give in to the begging friend, nagging peers, or even bullies. Take out that old and worn flannel shirt and think of the comfort.
Reinforce your comfort zone by using the flannel factor method!
Hey again! I want to let you guys know I try my best to write to you! I really do love speaking to you guys and I hope you actually get something out of my writing. I haven't really done this before. I can use all the support I can get. Please vote, comment, or inbox me any questions you have. I am going to start a question of the day thing and give in to the society of Wattpad haha!
QOTD:
What makes you uncomfortable?
