First Aid

Maaran gives him a look that screams 'I'm so gonna kill you' and 'I regret being born at the same time.'

Then he says, "Ipdi subway surfer aaduna  maari stitches pottuvecha, enna dhaan panradhu?"
(what I am supposed to do if your stitches resemble one playing subway surfer.)

Vetri clicks his tongue and manifests a British accent and says, "Well, a doctor's hands are steady like a mechanic and a magician's hands are flimsy like an artis.... Ada konjam mellama pannu pa there is too much blood."
(it hurts okay, be gentler with it)

Maaran huffs and says, "Neenga panna vela dhaan sir idhu.... Naan unnakku ethana thadava solliruken don't leave so much gap between your stitches... You will bleed out."
(This is the result of your own doing my man, how many times have I told you...)

Vetri completely disses the eye contact and mutters something which Maaran would have definitely missed had he not been sitting right in front of him.

"I finished the thread okay. Also, I didn't have anesthesia."

Maaran stops pulling out the stitches and looks up at him, shakes his head and goes back to the wound. All the while going on a muttering rant.

"I thought I gave you a new first aid box!!! How do you finish first aid boxes so fast? Unna illa enna solanum... I have to take a different approach with you. Its like talking to a kid. Lord save me from this."
(I have to blame myself.)

Vetri snickers just as Maaran finishes the stitches and puts on a gauze pad on them. He glares at Vetri and vetri immediately lowers his head while still snickering.

"Tell me if it hurts... I'm gonna start stitches."

One eternity later...

Nah.... Just a weekend a half later...

Vetri couldn't afford to stay at the same place for long. That's a whole another story, so yeah, here he was again on an errand solo leveling some Robin hood stuff.

The evil doctor of the month had the audacity to cut vetri's hand with a scalpel, like yeah vetri was killing him and did kill him, but cuts like that hurt.

So, here he was in an another warehouse of a friend of his with some food, necessities and a first aid box.

Vetri opens that and smiles, his brother can be such a mother hen. Becuase before him is the most equipped first aid box he has ever seen.

There are gauge pads, dissolvable stitches, stash of needles, injectors and syringes, bandages and bandaids, tons of anti septic tubes and anti bodies, even gloves and masks and two different types of anesthesia.

Topping all of this is a small note pad with instructions on how to administer what and when...

Vetri's smile widens when he remembers something Maaran said a long time ago in that warehouse.

Maaran probably doesn't know, but Vetri knew that Maaran was giving a fake smile when he didn't respond to Vetri during the mini fight, which is why he probably doesn't know that Vetri heard him when Maaran said,

"I need you to be safe too."

Maybe his brother has a reason to be a mother hen, he can understand the feeli... Wait!!! What? Is that insulin and atropine?

His brother is crazy... Crazy as Cuckoo with cocoa puffs!!!

Ssup y'all?

So, kids a fluff fic.... I mean the last two were muse fics which were depressing maybe.

So, here is a little happiness with angst in the middle...

Now, don't panic, this book isn't going to be filled with Maaran and Vetri.

The next fic will be of another character... I'm looking at you Veera!

But I love bromances and these brothers have my heart okay... Don't judge me!!

Note 1: Now, some of you might wonder why I've written it particularly like this. But if I found out that my blood parents are dead and I have little brother who looks exactly like me has been alive all this time and has been taking the short end of the stick and protecting me meanwhile....

I wouldn't want him to get out of my life or regret him coming into it. None of us would. According to a particularly angsty climax, neither would Maaran.

It has been incredibly clear in the movie that althougth Maaran has known Vetri for 24 hours he loves him with all his heart.

Note 2: Maaran is a professional doctor with a kind heart and he is also a good big brother, so if you still think that he didn't give Vetri anesthesia while removing the stichtes, I can't help you.

For people who think I'm going too far or too deep with these characters....

Kids.... I've been in Marvel fandom where people literally ship Tony and Loki even though the only time loki was near Tony was when he was choking him. I don't do that...that's kinda delusional to me.

But you've seen thor and loki right... They depict a 1000+ years of brotherhood in 3 movies where they are actually nice to each other for less than  an hour.

Commercial films don't show everything a dynamic has because they have to take care of the screenplay.

We have to read between lines to understand characters.

Now before you say anything else, do not underestimate Indian and especially Tamil cinema directors and writers.

Also, about the the pic in the header, don't ask me anything.
