Under His Spotlight

Chapter 13

"I...I'm sorry," he breathily said. His ears were red and so as his cheeks.

I can't seem to find some words to say. My heart was still racing and I couldn't even move.

"Kio," Agad kong sinara yung pinto ng kotse nang may makita akong lalaking paparating.

I saw Kio looked at him when he went to him. The guy was wearing a black button down short sleeve polo paired with gray slacks and a pair of white shoes. Pamilyar sa akin yung mukha pero hindi ko maalala kung saan ko siya nakita.

Napaubo ako bigla at saka ko lang naramdaman iyong init. Ang bobo ko talaga! Hindi pa naka-on yung makina ng kotse at saka nandoon palang si Kio kausap yung lalaki. Nakita ko siyang sumulyap sa dito sa kotse bago siguro nagpaalam at tumakbo papunta rito.

Sinalubong ko siya ng tingin, he scratched his head before he slid himself inside. He revved the engine and turned to me.

"I'm sorry about that earlier. I didn't mean to invade your boundary," He looked at me like he felt bad for doing it accidentally.

I gulped. "Is that your... uhm, first kiss? I mean, is that even considered a kiss?"

Pinaypayan ko iyong sarili ko gamit ang kamay ko at saka sumulyap sa kaniya. If that's considered a kiss... but it was just a peck! Pero kiss pa rin naman ata iyon?

Huminga siya ng malalim. "It was,"

Lord... pwede na ba ako mahimatay?

"Is that your first kiss?"

I shyly nodded. Mainggit kayo, first kiss ko yung bias ko!

"I ruined your first kiss experience,"

Napaawang yung labi ko. He gripped on the steering wheel tightly before looking at me.

"You didn't, okay?" Maliit na tinig kong sabi. "Thank you for being my first kiss," mabilis kong sabi.

I still can't process that I'm also Kio's first kiss. Tumingin ako sa kaniya habang nilalaro ko iyong mga daliri ko.

"Do you want to reset that?" He asked and I think I know what he's pertaining to. "The kiss... do you want to redo--" before he could continue what he was saying, I pulled him and claimed my second kiss.

He was stunned for a second but he then placed his hand on my nape before kissing me back. He was just kissing me slowly and then he slowly pulled back. Nang buksan ko iyong mata ko ay nakita ko siyang mapungay ang mga matang nakatingin sa akin.

He then smiled and extended his hand to touch my cheeks.

"Yui," he said my name softly. "I like you," he confessed sincerely.

I... I was lost... walang salitang lumalabas sa bibig ko.

"I really don't want to keep it anymore. I thought it was just a simple admiration but it turned into something deeper." he trailed off. Kinuha niya iyong kamay ko at saka hinawakan ito.

"I don't want to make you feel confused. I don't want you to feel like I was giving you mixed signals."

Sa paraan ng pagsasalita niya ay ramdam na ramdam ko ang sinseridad sa boses niya. The way he look at me, plus the words coming out from his mouth... is the most sincere thing I felt in my whole life.

"Gusto kong malaman mo iyong nararamdaman ko. Hindi ko alam na ganito pala kabilis mahulog sa isang tao. Gusto kita, Yui."

Umawang ang labi ko at halos maiyak ako. He told me, he was always true to his words and his actions and now he told me what he truely feels.
