Beyond Dimensions

Louvre Museum was just as she imagined : a big glass dome with books. They were then lead inside to her surprise with their tour guide was giving them details about the scenery and Glenda took short notes .

They moved through series of tall book shelves almost reaching the top. The floor had white marble tiles with fancy chandeliers hanging on the top. She was just amazed at the amount of books that filled the dome. Everywhere smelt of books . The only time she moved out was when she noticed a broken arch.

Although it looked deplorable it still looked as if it was jut constructed recently. Curiosity got the better of her and she moved closer to inspect it. It had strange engravings on the stone arch but it was also written in a language unknown to her. She stared at it in fascination.

The strangest part of it was the letters started giving a faint glow at her touch. The words floated around her and rearranged themselves to its original position.

Once it was over, the broken pieces of stone arranged themselves again completing the arch. Suddenly the arch came to live leaving a thin film in the large hole-like a portal.

Glenda walked through and everything went blank.

Glenda woke up to an unfamiliar place. She realized the place had a strange vegetation and the humidity was so high she shivered. She rubbed her palms together but it wasn't enough to warm her up. Her eyes scanned her surroundings one more time and this time it took notice of the strange hue of the sky- a pink and green hue.

She saw creatures flying around, some she recognized to be dragons. Two blue dragons took turned their head and stared at the new person and then dived down . She stepped back in fear of what they what they would do to her but was shocked when they moved around sniffing her every now and then.

They persistently nudged her in a playful manner. Maybe they wanted to play, she mused.

They gave her a curious look waiting for her next move. She brushed her hand though their rough scaly face and they gave a loud snort. "Interesting." She muttered watching them fly away.

She was about to take another step when and arrow whipped past her. She turned back quickly raising her arms back in surrender before speaking, "I'm no one , just a passerby." She continued staring at the armored elf. He was on a brown horse raising his bow up at her in defense. The man gave a dubious look, one thing remained constant the female was indeed strange.

"Follow me." Glenda nodded and followed the elf quietly.

They came to a stop in front of an emerlad castle. The elf gave the two elves guarding the front gate a signal and the porticullus was lowered for them. She gasped at the sight before her. The floor had white marble tiles. In the middle was a castle made of emerald

It was supported by marble pillars with mythical beings floating around. A large stone statuestood infront of the castle. It was shapes into an elf holding a book.

Some elves straed at her while others simply busied themselves "Welcome to Avalon....." The elf finally said waiting for her name.

"Glenda."She whispered. The elf looked surprised at her name but smiled knowinly. "Once we get to the palace do not look into the Crown Prince's eyes and speak when you are spoken to." He said quickly.

He glanced at her outfit distastefully. "As for your clothes it's indeed strange." He said once more. Glenda gave him a questioning look as he draped his large cloak around her petite form.

"Dont walk around half naked in the Crown Prince's presence, it would be considered disrespect." He tied the rope around the cloak expertly making sure she was left unexposed.

"You never told me your name Mr elf." She said making him laugh loudly. "I like you already, I'm Tobias." He grinned at her.

"Let's go Glenda." He pulled her by the wrists and entered the Imperial Palace.

Ciel stared at Tobias and the humam behind him with mild irritation. "Sorry for the sudden intrusion My Lord. I found a human wandering at the borders when I was scouting." Tobias bowed.

Glenda had her eyes rooted to the ground. She could feel the Prince's penetrating gaze on her and it made her uncomfortable. She wished the tension would ease because it was suffocating her. Not only that she was curious to know how the Prince looked.

"You know what our laws says about trespassers who cross the borders don't you?" The Prince asked placing the book he was reading down Tobias frowned disappointed. How could he kill an innocent person especially a lady.

"You know how the humans are ; wanting to know everything. We can't let what happened a decade ago happen again ." The Prince said finally staring at her.

"My Lord I'm afraid I cannot go with your order. If anything happens let me take of the human." Tobias suggested cautiously. It became silent agian but Glenda broke the heavy silence.

"I understand you have trust issues concerning humans but I'll prove to you not all humans are the same My Lord." She said lightly. Ciel turned his attention to the bold human and she also gave him a stare of her own.

"What is your name human?" He asked staring at her baby blue eyes. "My name is Glenda My Lord." She said watching his expression of confusion. "Glenda, I see." He said expression turning distant. She didn't want to believe it but the two elves had the same expression.

"Tobias prepare a chamber for the human in the Imperial Palace." Ciel commanded and Tobias bowed.

Before Glenda left Ciel spoke this time with authority, "I hope you can abide by your promise, Glenda."

She nodded already at the door. "Yes My Lord." She said he was already engrossed in the book he was reading before she cane in. The last thing she saw was his long white hair and pointy ears.
