Fugaku glared down at Sakura. "Step aside."
"Uh oh..." Kakashi's worry spiked. An uneasy look upon the hatake's face. This wasn't good. His eyes shifted down to his three genin just in time to see Sasuke and Naruto share a hard a nod. He darted forward over the seats to clamp a hand over both Sasuke and Naruto's mouths at once. He pulled back pinning them to the seats with his grip on their faces. Both boys having just been about to yell and leap from their seats in outrage at Sasuke's father. They were very protective of Sakura, and their thoughts on Fugaku weren't all that pleasant at the moment. A bad combination.
Kakashi got bit in the palm by both of them, their hands trying to claw his away so they could gain the freedom to defend their girlfriend, because no one talked to their Sakura that way, not even Sasuke's father, but it didn't matter. They could taste his blood and stain the material of his gloves all they wanted. He was not letting them start something that Sasuke might regret later when his anger cleared. Like it or not Fugaku was still his father. Things were bad enough for the kid. He couldn't let them get worse because the teens couldn't regulate their emotions well. Kakashi had to keep that in mind. Normally he'd send them somewhere to work out their anger, but there was no room to train here.
"Both of you listen to me right now. I'm only going to say this once. Sasuke's father has a lot of things to answer for. We'll address everything when we sit down for a serious conversation. But until then you both have to relax. That means no yelling, no leaving your seats, and absolutely under no circumstances do you go attacking anyone else in the audience. Understand? We'll make sure he apologizes to her when we talk about everything else."
He waited until he heard a begrudging whatever from Sasuke and a yes Sensei from Naruto muffled against his hands before he finally let go and retreated to his seat with a sigh. His palms were stinging, he had a bit of blood dripping but it was nothing that would kill him. In any case, the pain was far more bearable than watching his genin breakdown and almost die.
"Isn't one of your students a medic?" Obito eyed Kakashi's hands as the son of the white fang pulled off his soiled gloves and pulled out some bandages.
"These bites aren't that serious. There's no need to bother her and get her going as well."
"Those bites look pretty deep." Obito looked at him dubiously not that Kakashi could see the expression under his mask.
"My ninja hounds have done worse. Nothing a few bandages won't fix. I'll be alright."
"Bakashi." The nickname slid from his lips in irritation with a shake of his head as he saw him sliding on the wrappings. "An injury is an injury. Don't take it so lightly. Didn't you learn anything from Rin? You really never paid her any attention did you? You need to put ointment on the site to lessen the chance of infection. The palm is like germ city and those brats mouths are probably even worse."
Obito rummaged around in his own ninja pouch til he pulled out a vial. He squinted at it making sure that he had indeed grabbed healing ointment and not the lube he kept on hand. Once he was positive it was the healing ointment he held out a hand to Kakashi. "May I?"
"Will you shut up and quit bothering me if I do?" Kakashi sighed in annoyance giving the other ninja his left hand to start with.
Obito rubbed some ointment gently onto Kakashi's palms with his fingertips. He heard Kakashi hiss, felt him try to take back his hand. Heard him grumble about not actually needing that stuff. Obito tightened his grip to prevent him from pulling it back. Kakashi's hand was just as warm as he remembered it. He didn't want to let it go.
"Hold still, I know it stings but it'll prevent infection. Trust me. Infected cuts are no joke. I've had a few." He finished with his left hand and released it. He went on to do the right.
