"Where is your mom?" Colby asked as he saw Sawyer sitting at the counter eating her cereal

He looked over to see his son sitting at the table eating his breakfast.

"It's Saturday," Sawyer stated with a mouth full of fruit loops

"Yeah, and?" Colby questioned

"She's always gone on Saturdays for a little bit" the little girl nodded

"She just leaves you two alone?" He looked between his kids

"Chase is here," she said, and he looked at his son, who waved his hand, "and I'm not a baby anymore," she shook her head. "Plus, William is here too."

"William.. William is still head of security?" He asked

"He stays in the guest house, and we only get him if we need him" Sawyer nodded as she finished her bowl and put it in the sink

Colby moved to the sink to start putting the dishes in the dishwasher before he heard his son yell.

"NO!" Chase yelled, "That's my job!" He exclaimed as he stood up and quickly ran over to his father, yanking the dish from his hand

"Buddy, relax" Colby shook his head.

"I'm not your buddy," the boy glared at him, "and doing the dishes is my job! That's how I get money."

"That's how he can take his girlfriend out on dates," Sawyer sang as she climbed up on the chair.

"Oh, that's right, Lilly" Colby nodded.

"Don't say her name!" The little boy shook his head, and Colby held his hands up in the air

His son was territorial over his things and protective of his girlfriend; he had to respect that. He was the same way when he and his wife first got together. He was likely to fly off the handle if anybody even mentioned her by name.

"Your mom.." Colby looked to Sawyer. "Where does she go on Saturdays?"

"She goes to see Grace's daddy" she nodded.

"Grace? Who is Grace?" Colby questioned as he watched his daughter jump down from the chair, and he followed her

"Grace is one of my friends at school, and her daddy is a teacher, so mommy goes to see Grace's daddy a lot on the weekends."

"Really?" Colby questioned as he felt a twinge of jealousy and anger build in his chest

"Yeah, I don't know what they do together, but mommy is in different clothes when she comes home, and her hair is crazy" she nodded, "Grace said one time she heard them yelling a lot."

"So mommy goes to see him every Saturday.. does he ever come over here?" He questioned as he followed his daughter to her craft room

"Sometimes.. not a lot, but he picked her up a few times."

"How long has this been going on?" Colby pried for more information as he watched his daughter pulling out art supplies from the closet

"I dunno," the little girl shrugged. "It happened all the time when you were gone"
