Y/n was brought to the middle school, which luckily was just basically next door to the high school. She now stood in the principals office behind her father, who sat in a chair. It was almost like the boys hadn't even noticed her arrival. Mike, Dustin, and Lucas were arguing back and forth. Trying to get the story right.

This had been going on for about five, to seven minutes at this point. And none of it was making sense at all, all their words just jumbled together.

"Okay, okay, okay." Jim said tiredly as he held his hand up sighing, but the boys didn't stop.

"Dad. I got this." Y/n said pinching the bridge of her nose, "Boys!" She said loudly.

The boys instantly went silent, and brightened once they had noticed the older teen "Y/n!" They all exclaimed in excitement.

"First of all, you three have gotta stop talking over each other." Y/n said crossing her arms, "Second of all, only one of you needs to talk at a time."

"Okay." Jim said with a relived sigh glad that his daughter got ahold of the situation, "You." He said nodding to Mike "You said he takes what?"

"Mirkwood." Mike answered.

"Mirkwood?"

"Yeah." Mike confirmed with a nod.

"Have you ever heard of Mirkwood?" Jim asked looking to Callahan.

"I have not." Callahan answered shaking his head, "That sounds made up to me."

"No, it's from Lord of the Rings." Lucas said.

"Well, The Hobbit." Dustin corrected.

"It doesn't matter." Lucas said looking over at his friend.

"He asked!" Dustin exclaimed.

"He asked." Lucas said trying to mock Dustin.

Y/n let out a sigh as the three broke into an argument once more, and she pinched the bridge of her nose again. She could tell that her dad was getting more annoyed, just by the groan as he leaned his head back slightly.

"Boys!" Y/n exclaimed loudly once more letting her hand fall, and they all instantly went quiet.

"One at a damn time." Jim said, he then nodded at Mike again "You."

"Mirkwood, it's a real road. It's just the name that's made up." Mike explained, "It's where Cornwallis and Kerley meet."

"Yeah, all right, I think I know that-" Jim said leaning back towards his partner.

"We can show you if you want." Mike interjected.

"I said that I know." Jim stated in annoyance.

"Dad." Y/n hissed glaring at the back of his head, "Be a little patient."

"We can help look." Mike said trying to convince the old police chief.

"Yeah." Dustin added with a nodd.

"No." Jim said which instantly spiraled the boys to talk over themselves again, "No. After school, you are all to go home. Immediately."

"Dad-"

"That means no biking around looking for your friend, no investigating. No nonsense. " Jim said ignoring his daughter, "This isn't some Lord of the Rings book."

"The Hobbit." Dustin corrected once again.

Lucas went to say something but Y/n was quick to stop it "Don't you dare start up again." She said.
