"Where was I? I lost track." You let go of the quill in your hand and fall back on your seat in defeat.
You were writing a journal to keep track of the things happening to you while stuck in the Boiling Isles. But for the most of it, you just couldn't stand being "unproductive".
You scan your journal again to check your work.
"Dang it! I vented into my research journal again." You sigh.
Suddenly, you hear an explosion coming from outside.
"What in the-" You rush to the window to see what's happening.
You see Eda and Lilith seated behind their desks while Luz was in front of a board.
"Hey you guys alright?" You call from the second floor.
"Yup! We're good. Eda just had a little accident." Luz explained.
"It's not a little accident." Eda said in a mocking tone.
"It's progress towards innovation!" Eda cheered, pumping her fist in the air.
'Classic Eda.' You chuckle.
"Wait up, I'm coming down!" You shout before running downstairs.
"Hey guys!" You cheerfully greeted as you walked out the door.
"Lilith." You sneered.
"Y/N." Lilith sneered back.
"Hooty! Hoot hoot!" Hooty intervened.
"What's up with them?" Luz whispered to Eda.
"I have no idea but I'm loving the drama." Eda snickered.
"So... what're you guys up to?" You ask.
"Well since Eda and Lilith lost their magic, I figured I'd teach them glyph magic." Luz explained.
"Can I join?" You eagerly asked.
"Sure. So here you see-" Luz discussed while pointing at the board but was interrupted by Hooty.
"Toot Toot! The Hexside train is a comin'! Chugga chugga!" Hooty cheered, proceeding to pick Luz up.
"Ah ok, maybe we'll learn together after school. Y/N's in charge while I'm gone. Bye~~" Luz exclaimed before being carried away.
"How come she gets to be in charge?!" King protested.
"Have fun at school!" You waved at her.
