Chapter 4//Defeat

Start from the beginning

"Why are you all staring at me like I've just ripped Reapers head off? Not that I would ever do that. Now quit it before I take what I said back!" He complained and crossed his arms, I smiled at him. Then I watched as Custard went around and check everyone. Pain still seared my arm and I was really glad brought my hoodie at this point. I didn't want anyone to be worried about me. As I quietly tried to avoid Custard, I realized that I hadn't even noticed that my sketchbook wasn't in my hoodie pocket. It must have fell out, where could I have dropped it!? I wondered frantically looking around everywhere for it,

"Are you looking for this thing? I saw you drop it while we were fighting. Also I guess you're a decent artist, I don't know why you didn't want to show me your sketchbooks." Necromancer suddenly appeared behind me holding it up, I breathed a sigh of relief. I turned around but as soon as I went out to grab it but he pulled it back towards himself,

"At! Go get your forearm checked out first. And I will be watching you so I know when you're lying to me." He said looking at my arm. I was frustrated that he was doing this again because it wasn't that big of a deal,

"It doesn't hurt hardly at all and I'm pretty sure that Strawberry has worse-" I tried to make up excuses as I saw her being treated by Custard,

"Now. I can see the jam coming out of that wound and you will get an infection if it's not cared for properly. If we have one team member out for infection like that then we won't ever be able to defeat them." He explained irritatedly,

"And you still have one precious item on the line, so get a move on before I keep it." He pushed me towards Custard. I just stood there for a minute before I walked to where Custard was. No I shouldn't he's busy.. It's not even worth it, this will just heal on it's own. He can keep the sketchbook- my thoughts were interrupted when Necromancer began pulling on my uninjured arm,

"You're really slow. At least pick up the pace a little, I thought you were fast." He complained as he dragged me towards Custard.  He's not going to let this go is he? Okay fine I guess I should listen to him. I finally stopped trying to pull away,

"Okay fine..if you really insist. It's really not that bad it will probably heal up in a few days." I finally agreed as we got to Custard,

"Shut up Spice..You're lucky that I do this at all. I could have just let you bleed out." He irritatedly said sounding like that he was really trying to make it seem like he didn't care. I know that he always acts like that when he does anything nice for me. I did what he asked and Custard looked at my forearm. As I pulled up my sleeve I did notice that there was still some jam leaking out of it,

"How did you not notice this before GingerSpice!?" Custard wondered in shock as he examined it,

"It doesn't really hurt-" I began to explain

"He already knew, isn't it obvious by how he is acting? He was trying to avoid you earlier too." Necromancer rolled his eyes as Custard began trying to heal the wound with magic,

"This might need bandages, we should go back." Custard noticed and looked up at me expectantly,

"As much as I rather think otherwise it's the only thing that we can really do. Right now everyone is too exhausted to have a rematch." Necromancer agreed and glanced at Custard to certify what he said, Custard glanced back and nodded in agreement. He then looked around and hesitantly took off his cape,

"Wait! That's your cape I don't want to ruin it..I'm sure we can find something else." I quickly disagreed as I realized that he was going to wrap it around temporarily,

"It's okay! It's really important to get this wrapped so it doesn't jam out so much. Like you said friends are always most important." He insisted smiling, still seeing that I was hesitant Necromancer glared at me,
