Hello everyone!

Just wanted to say thank you for all the kind words from yesterday... by giving you a chapter!

I will not be able to post tomorrow, and maybe not Sunday either, quite sadly. But I might put some pictures of prom up! I'm wearing red, and taking my childhood friend with me as my "date". Excited, but nervous. Fingers crossed!

Chapter Twenty-One

~Nobody's POV~

She opens her mouth to say something, but Loki talks over her, "We're leaving, Thea. Now."

"No!" she exclaims, backing up from him, although the motion causes her to cry out, "I won't go back to that place!"

"It wasn't so bad, was it?" asks Loki in a deprecating voice. He looks furious, furious from worry and furious from the exhausting trek of trying to find his daughter, "Don't complain."

"It was t-terrible!" Thea says, and she staggers back even farther from him, but the backpack weighs heavily on her, and she winces, rolling on her ankle, "I can't go back there!"

Loki's brow furrows, "Why are you limping so badly, Thea?"

She looks up at him, at his eyes that look just like hers, and for once in a very long time, his are filled with distorted worry.

"Let me see your neck," he says, reaching forward for her arm.

There are so many things run through Thea's head that she wants to say. She wants him to wrap his arm around her and hold her close and say sorry in every language that is known to the human tongue.

And as he looks down at her, there are so many things that Loki wants to tell her, particularly as she stares up at him with innocence and pain in her green eyes. The green eyes that seem to tie their souls together into something that will forever be intertwined.

But neither of them get the chance to say anything.

Videl appears from out of nowhere, leaping in front of Thea, his fangs bared at Loki, glaring at him with such hate, it as though he is trying to burn through him. Loki glares right back, and in both of their faces, something like a mix of loathing and pain.

Videl grabs Thea's arm.

"NO!" She shrieks, lunging towards Loki, trying to get away from Videl, "I NEED TO TELL HIM ABOUT-"

"Thea!"

"VIDEL, IT'S-"

Her world goes dark as Videl spins them around on the spot, enveloping them in a black mist, and then Loki, shouting, disappears completely in a blur of color and space and air.

Thea lands roughly on her back, and sucks in a breath from the pain, but her backpack, at least, had somewhat cushioned her fall.

She is in a forest. A rather sparse forest consisting mostly of tall evergreens and bushes, but a forest nonetheless. Cold slams into her, and she realizes that she is lying in at least six inches of snow.
