Hello all! :) I know I've been updating a lot lately, but once the week starts, I'm going to have a hard time doing it daily. I have exams coming up, which are important, seeing as I'm a junior.

Unstoppable (E.S. Posthumus)

The Trial of Loki (Thor: The Dark World)

Name from Blue Moon adaptation:

Thor = Roath (pronounced ROE-ath.) It's a combination of the letters Thor O.

I would say happy reading, but this is not a happy chapter.

~Thea's POV~

It's like I'm trying to wake up from a nightmare, pinching myself over and over. Loki is standing at my doorway, and the look he is giving me is not a good one. His brow is furrowed noy mischievous certainty, but in cold anger. He is clutching Odins scepter. He is not playing around today.

"W-what are you doing here?" I ask, glancing quickly around the room as I do so. My bed is nothing but a frame. Not helpful. Clothes in boxes? Not helpful. Phone in Loki's hand? Not helpful. My dagger and long knife are sitting on the dresser on the other side of the room, very close to Loki. Also not very helpful.

He smirks, as if amused by my question. Then, he says in a low voice, "You know what I am doing here."

I back up against the wall, against my bookshelf, swallowing hard. "No. N-no I don't. Why aren't you in Asgard pretending to be Odin?" I really wish my voice would stop shaking, but the sight of Loki appearing suddenly, only hours after I managed to let slip his name for the first time, is not a good sign.

"I'm a little busy right now making sure that a certain child of mine doesn't go spilling all of my secrets."

I bite my lip, and try not to look at him, but am not altogether successful.

"You've been a naughty little girl, haven't you, Thea?" says Loki, keeping his eyes locked on mine the entire time, "Trying to tattle on me." He leans against his scepter, and his green eyes narrow and bore directly into my soul, "We can't have that, now can we?"

"Kyle's...Kyle's outside," I say, biting my tongue to stop my damn shaking voice, "He's going to know what happened."

Loki raises an eyebrow, "Not only are you bluffing, but I find that suggestion hard to believe, seeing as he doesn't know that I exist."

"What do you want?" I demand, "Just go away, Loki!"

"You see, Thea I can't do that," says Loki, still smirking, "If I leave, then your mind will eventually completely snap away from mine. In no time at all, Thor and all the others will discover that I'm much more alive than they actually think."

"Then just re-do the stupid spell and go!" I exclaim.

"If I re-do the 'stupid spell' then I'll just have to keep returning to do it again and again, and frankly, your mind is stronger than most, and I don't have the time or the patience. I don't even know if it will work again."

"Then wh-what are you going to do to m-me?"

Loki tilts his head. He squints his eyes and, peering at me, says, "Are you afraid of me, Thea?"

       I swallow. "Yes."

"Well," says Loki, "How lucky am I! If you are afraid, as you should be, then you will not resist."
