Our planets have continued spinning because of inertia. In the vacuum of space, spinning objects maintain their momentum and direction because no external forces have been applied to stop them. Perhaps our thoughts live the same way; the mind finds itself spinning through an endless gyre —
till an external force overcomes its motion,
creating an impact so efficient
that thoughts become indelible,
enough to be perceived
as a memory for the next encounter.
