CHAPTER ONE

She was woken up by the rays of sunlight through her curtains, she dragged herself to her toilet brushed her teeth and since she's off salat she didn't mind performing her ablution instead she took her bath and went out and got dressed in a lemon green and dust brown printed Ankara sown into a maxi dress, tied her head tie and went out not caring about makeup

She went downstairs to meet her one and only sister aunty Zara with her one and half year old daughter sitting in the living room with their mother, she wondered what time it was so she checked her phone to see that it's twelve eighteen pm

I thought I've woken up early today she said to herself before meeting them after the greetings she went to the kitchen to eat

Let's properly introduce our girl to you

Her name is Fatima Umar known as zaish short for Zaisha and a 22 year old who graduated from university two years ago and had done her NYSC in rivers state, she has three brothers and a sister she's the last born, their first born is ya Abba who has a wife and three children then followed by ya saddiq who has a wife, twins and two boys making his kids four and aunty Zara who has a baby girl then ya modu who's not married but works at nnpc in Kano state and barely visits.

After her sister left she went back to her room to sleep when she got a call her face widened and a smile spreads on her face as she saw the caller id, kalbi

She then wore a light brown veil and left her room when he called and informed her that he has arrived

Her mother was not in the living room she went to her mother's room to find her sleeping so she left without waking her up

Hey gorgeous he said with a smirk on his face as she entered his car the smell of his strong black oud made it's way to her nostrils she sighed before replying with a smile

After talking about everything and nothing he decided to tell her what he came for, he cleared his throat and made a serious face and started and she listened attentively

We've been dating for five years now and you said that you won't get married until you're done with your NYSC and you're done with your NYSC seven months ago, so I've talked to my elders and they want to come and talk to your own elders about our wedding so what do you say

She tried her best not to show her happiness but she couldn't hide she just nodded before replying

Right now dad is on a business trip in Canada but I'll tell him when he comes

When will he come

I don't know maybe next month

Zaish's POV

I feel like the happiest person on earth I've been smiling since and couldn't stop, his words kept ringing in my head and I wish I can just rewind everything and go back to earlier today

I was brought back to my senses by my best friend aka partner in crime karima

You've called me here since but you didn't tell me anything but smiling she said frowning

When I made sure that mom is awake I went to her room the door was slightly open so I saw my mother crying and talking to only God knows who,I let myself in after she hung up and asked her

Mama is everything ok I asked with a worried voice

She then told me the most shocking news I've ever heard in my entire life.
