Start from the beginning

Fortunately Chunhwa had
an insomniac uncle who decided
to enter the living room at that
exact moment.

"Morning"

Chan whispered when Minho
smiled tiredly at him,
his own face not looking
any better at all.

The dark bags under his red
swollen eyes, his pale face,
everything about his
appearance screamed
devastation.

So this is what you look like,
a day after losing a loved one.

"Should I.. take her?"

"Yeah, that'd be great.
I don't want to wake Yeo up,
he's sleeping so well right now
but Hwa is hungry."

"Okay then, come here sweetie"

Chan cooed as he picked that
tiny sleepy bundle he called his
niece up and kissed her precious
chubby cheek when she only
whimpered cutely.

"Papa.."

"No, I'm your uncle Channie, hm?
Do we want to go say good
morning to uncle Lixie?"

"Li.."

"Yeah, I bet he'd be happy
to see your cute face."

But tiny Chunhwa just huffed
before she bit into Chan's shirt
with a little 'nom.'

"And then we'll make
some breakfast."

Minho admired Chan.

He admired him for being such
a good actor, at least the kids
didn't really notice how hard
it was for him.

The blonde tried his best for
his family, he tried his best to help
his brother-in-law with the children
and to find a way to survive the day.

Without Chan,
the ravenette probably
wouldn't have left his spot
on the couch at all.

The easiest to convince that
almost everything was fine
was Chunhwa.

She was still too small to
fully comprehend that her papa
was actually gone forever,
although taking her away
from Jisung had been hard,
she now only asked for him
once in a while.

But it was easy to distract her
since Felix and Chan were there.

Still Minho knew that deep
in her heart his daughter knew
something was wrong
with her papa.

She might not be old enough
to understand everything yet
but she wasn't stupid, she
could pick up on her daddy's
and brother's moods.

And part of her hadn't forgotten
about what had happened
the past days.

Yeorum wasn't that easy to distract,
actually he wasn't at all.

After he had woken up,
he had stayed in his daddy's
arms all day, be it on the couch,
at the dining table or in his
own room.
